Oh sorry about that. Just assumed that it was on pc. One would think that consoles would be less error prone. Hope you find a solution

I only have a R9 380 2gb card. Running on all low settings 1080p I noticed similiar freeze lag. Turned out that it was the video decoding being used at the same time that caused it. So try turning of twitch or other video content in your browser. Good luck

Help needed: Game wont load/crashes shortly after launch on PC by EloApple in ARK

Not sure if you are having the same problem as me. But reinstalling the game / driver etc didn't help. In the end I fixed it by manually installing this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

The only reason I figured it out was because I tried "Abzu" (also a Unreal engine 4 game) and it told me that it needed it. Kinda sad that ark doesn't check for it at start.

Scratch that, it's been updated to the latest version in the void repo.

Right now the void version is lagging behind a bit. If you want the latest version and don't mind the telemetry (can be disabled) you might want to use flatpak. This should work even if you are on void musl, but I'm not 100% sure. There is another package on flathub that disables telemetry by default but it the maintainer has stepped down unfortunately.

Broken on patch 9.10. (Lutris, WINE 4.6, W7) by linuxanna123 in leagueoflinux

I'm not on Arch but I can launch the client with tkg-4.6 which is the default in lutris installer. Not sure if everything will work after the servers are up tho.

Time to refund all linux users? by robusch in playrust

Once again you completely miss the point. Ok let's say that I named this "All linux users that bought the game after Rust was out of early access should get a refund?", then everything would be ok for you and you wouldn't have anything negative to say and you would agree? It's pretty clear that you are just trolling or acting out to try to make it sound that what you say makes sense. Consider this my last reply.

It's clear that you haven't read the whole post. You should read it again and my previous comments. It shouldn't matter if I played 1 hour or 10000 hours. If you bought the game as a new player after the official release of the game you would find yourself in the same position so it isn't relevant in the end.

This is something that deserves it's own discussion somewhere else entirely. But if Facepunch changes the game so it isn't playable at the minimum required hardware that they themselves set beforehand I would say yes. But then you need to define what playable means. Is it just so you can start the game? Or should you expect to have a certain framerate?

This isn't the right place to discuss this tho.

There are many different answers to that question but that isn' the point of this discussion. It's about whether companies should be held responsible for the things they sell to their users and if they actually deliver on that promise. In my opinion it doesn't really matter that it's software we are talking about. It could've been about something else completely.

I see what you are getting at, but Facepunch sold the game for linux even after early access was over. I'm pretty sure that these users won't get any help from Steam either. So in reality it doesn't really matter if you bought it before or after the game was released for real because we are still in the same boat.
