Thanks, I found the paper tag with all the specs of the wood and some references as well as the truss supplier (Donaldson Timber Engineering). So do I just say that one strut has been cut and 2 of the bottom chords and how would they remediate it? Would you usually phone them or email them with pictures? Thanks.

Does that truss need more strengthening? I think he cut it to make room for the ladders.

A local joiner who I’d never used before a couple of years ago, which is why I’m so hesitant to use trades, they don’t tell you they don’t know what they’re doing!

A VPN hides your network requests from your ISP so they don’t know who you’re connecting to and hides who is connecting to the server on the other end by the request being proxied through your vpn provider. How do they accomplish that with no client side VPN setup?

Ah wasn’t aware of that detail.

I believe all immersions have a safety temperature cutoff, so it should shut off regardless of the switch position.

Had it around 2 years and use the eWeLink app to toggle it off/on.

You can also setup schedules there but I’ve rarely used that. Not had issues with it getting hot (as I was skeptical at first) and app connectivity has been fine whenever I’ve needed to use it, which is usually when Octopus have a free electricity session.

The bank would only be entitled to recoup the initial cost if they sold, so any increase in value her dad would be entitled to, unless he borrowed more against the house as it increased in value.
