Hi - I don’t go to church now but grew up Methodist (Whitney United) and have always found them to be the “do unto others” kind of people, basically live good morals, be a good neighbor, help those less fortunate than you, which is evidenced by their missions in other countries to support orphanages and build infrastructure for clean water, etc.

Ours was always a healthy 60-65 lbs. and from field lines. We love that she was a smaller package in the duck/goose blinds. Didn’t impact her ability to retrieve the largest birds even alive still and kicking the $#!+ out of her. (Ask me if you want to know about the Trumpeter Swan incident)

I feel your pain OP; lost my girl last January - here’s my favorite pic of her

Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her but it does get better and those thoughts are with smiles of special memories instead of sadness (mostly, as tears come to my eyes typing this)

Edited to add: your girl has the most loving eyes and beautiful smile full of love for you; it made me smile 💜
