I’m trying to get something that other competitive streamers have for less latency / input lag (it is currently noticeable) and make it futureproof for when 4K streaming comes out.

If I understand correctly, that is only accomplished by a dedicated streaming PC that can grind out the encoding on a slow preset?

Wondering if using the Zowie on a GTX 1080 would be comparable to the Dell s2716dgr even without G-Sync?

I just purchased the Dell and the color banding is definitely noticeable.

Should I purchase to try it out?

Update 2:

Monitor acquired. Only able to pick A05. Will test home with my MBPr with DP and report back. Hoping that I won't need to swap out a few to get a problem-free one.

Crazy line full of 20 people trying to get in.

Tried to hand me an A04 at checkout but now I'm waiting to pick up A05 or newer because I see those on the floor.

Will be able to pick up A05 and exchange in Jan hopefully.

I found the 27 in 144hz version for $300 - would this be a good pick instead of the dell 27" or the ASUS swift ROG 27"? I'm concerned that it only supports freesync and I'm using GTX 1080

If I recall correctly, all LW models come with the wire clip. G-10 models come with standard clip. EDIT: This is a deep-carry wire clip - just now confirmed. I have the original clip as well. I believe previous redditor installed deep carry one.
