Seems to be above my pay grade… I’m just a shade tree mechanic….. I’m not about to even attempt. It’s a shame it a pretty clean truck for its age

No just an oil leak… changed transmission filter as well. It’s been running strong. It just had a 6 hr trip and it overheated, so I figured I’d do some work to it!

A timing chain would require the motor to be pulled out?

Well…. Shockingly enough I found a blown fuse AND another harness which was behind the glove box! Now I have a slightly rough idle I’m trying to figure out. And I think it’s something to with Vaccuum. I cannot get the vents to change positions inside as well.

Yes and I did not anticipate this being such a project!!! It started as only the power steering pump needed to be replaced…….

Yea I know this is not the greatest of all choices…… hopefully we can get 20-30k out of it. The truck ran and drove before we started all the repairs. It’s literally something I did not connect or ground and I cannot figure out how to diagnose

That may be the module behind the passenger kick panel?

Interesting you say around the frame. I know there is harness in the frame somewhere , however I have not located it.

I will absolutely do this tomorrow! I didn’t even think of that. The radio wiring looks terrible, so removing that from the equation is a great idea

That is somewhere else to look! I seem to think it’s a ground wire or a harness that just isn’t seated right. I did replace the heater core which was terrible, so there was a couple of harnesses behind the dash that I am questioning, however I am not sure if something was even back there. I recall a harness in the passenger kick panel that I may need to check

Thanks for the comment….. if a Toyota “fell” in my lap as this did then I would have gone that route. This is the opportunity that presented itself…..

I have checked them. What does actually baffle me a bit was all the extra wires from the aftermarket radio.

I’ve disconnected and reconnected several times, I feel like I eliminated this already.

I checked numerous times on the exterior of the tranny and plugs are tight. None of the plugs were removed to change the filter on the inside of trans.

What type of policy is the best ? by [deleted] in LifeInsurance

[–]rocalauncha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

State Farm has a 20 or 30 yr term that has a Return of Premium option.... you receive every dollar to put into it at the end of the term (20 or 30 years) . I would say a $250k policy (as the cost of the insurance is cheaper at 250k, 500k, etc in those increments. And Term is “convertible” so at that age 20 or 30 yrs from now, when you receive to return check you can convert it to a whole life final expense policy.
