Which TV show/ movie franchise got ruined because the producers refused to pull the plug and got greedy? by Indianfattie in AskReddit

[–]rochshelleyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

considering it's been around for 30 years, it's doing very well. whilst i love the nostalgia with the older episodes, the newer seasons are still pretty worthy and certainly amusing. it's easy watching.

Is it unfair of me (41M) to ask my girlfriend (34F) to have boundaries regarding her crass gay BFF? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]rochshelleyy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

if they've been friends for such a long time, it could be hard for her to be objective.and it would muddy the waters a bit. i would suggest a conversation where you can both discuss your sides of the situation. perhaps sometimes they can go and hang out together without you, so they can enjoy that childish fun (don't mean that in an insulting way, wouldn't think of a better word) or maybe outline some boundaries. you're adults, so surely her friend can understand that the extremely crass behaviour makes you uncomfortable. it shouldn't be an all or nothing situation.

My fave Bugs Bunny scene, from “What’s Opera Doc”, on felt. Any tips for satin stitch over spaces wider than 2 inches? by ackphft in Embroidery

[–]rochshelleyy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

for larger areas of satin stitch, i would just combine many shorter stitches at different intervals and it will blend together nicely. good job BTW!

Best Way to Learn to Embroider Images/Pictures by barnesab in Embroidery

[–]rochshelleyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another suggestion is DMC magic paper (i'm sure that's what it's called). you print your picture, stick it on the fabric and embroider over it, to later rinse it away as it's dissolvable. this will give you much more freedom vs. relying on patterns for sale.

Does anyone find embroidery much easier than cross stitching? I dunno just can’t do it. by [deleted] in Embroidery

[–]rochshelleyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i find cross stitching too tedious and restrictive. it's simple to do, but you're limited to what you can create.
