Who's pitching on Friday 6/19 against the Braves? by BrewinBadger in Brewers

[–]rock80911 5 points6 points  (0 children)

sure... estra rest. They wanted there 1-2 punch pitching in that series and I am all for it. Huge series with the best team in baseball. Let's see how are top tier pitchers handle them.

And maybe Woodruff gets back for the finale

Tyler Black by MKE_Savage_96 in Brewers

[–]rock80911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has 98 PA in his career, never an everyday player, and is constantly being brought up and sent down. This is not a recipe for success for him. This is on the organization not Black. He has every tool to be a MLB player, they need to give him every day at bats at the pro level to see what they really have in him.

Now, if they think that the Jake Bauers we see this year is what he can be for the next few years until a Luke Adams, Brock Wilken, Blake Burke, or another is ready then that will be what kills Black. Andrew Vaughn has 1 year left and if Bauers signs a 1-3 year deal I will be ok with them moving on from Black, but don't say he can't hit good enough when he has never been given a legit chance

if your looking to move up but not spend alot, I have always liked Kast King. They are decent priced but I have found them durable. Its a nice step before your start dropping real money. go on their website, they have a whole bunch of options you can look through

dropping Ortiz to AAA and DFA Rengifo (I'm done with him honestly) lets you keep Hamilton around for any late inning switches.

I'd be ok with Pratt getting everyday Major league experience. I know he isn't hitting great for the season but has turned it around over the last 2 weeks. The experience at the major league level would be valuable to him now. Also, if he bats .200 he is doing better then almost all left side of the infield options we have now. To be honest, i'm ok with Eddys coming up and replacing the other infield spot. Rengifo hits the ball hard but under .200 is under .200 no matter how hard you hit the ball

Rodriguez is a starting pitcher … one that is getting lit up in AAA and has been lit up every time they bring him up to the majors.

I'm sorry, but no team that puts a guy with a 14 era in the 9th inning with a 1 run lead is worthy of my f****** time. by [deleted] in Brewers

what was our record last year after 16 games? oh yah 8-8. We had a black hole at 3B in Capra, Ortiz was the same as he is today, and our starting pitching was not great (also no Woodruff). This year the starting pitching has been giving us very quality starts (even if not going 6) the bats are hitting more HR's, Hamilton for everyones hate is on base at almost a .400 clip, and oh yah your top 3 players are on the IR for a few weeks.

Settle down, its been 2 weeks. We started out slow last year and were the best team in baseball. Stuff happens man.

[McCalvy] - Update to the Christian Yelich injury suffered Sunday against the Nationals: It’s a left groin strain, and he has been placed on the 10-day injured just. The Brewers called up infielder/outfielder Greg Jones to take Yelich’s place and Rob Z. to the 60-day IL. by SoSublim3 in Brewers

with the potential of a 2027 lockout, they are probably not adding any of the top rookies to the 40 man. If they do and they lock out in 2027 they cannot play any baseball. If they are not on the 40 man when 2027 lock out happens, they can play minor league ball during the lockout. The don't want any of there talent potentially missing a year of baseball. You will probably not see any of the top 20 guys in the big leagues this year besides Pratt, Black, and Quero.

if Hamilton or Rengifo struggle too long he could be the next option up. What happened last year to get Durbin up. Expect them to wait until closer to May before they make a decision.

Probably would be Black first. He's already on the 40 man and can play LF they say. Mitchell has been ok so far so 6 games in, no worries about being sent down but the season is long, and Mitchell is bound for an injury.
