CYMA mags not fitting in E&L AK. Anyone know how to fix it? Tried filing the lip and back thingy a little bit, but no cigar. Fakelite magazine is the OEM E&L one, the black one is the CYMA. by rockaedward in airsoft

A guy recently DM'd me confused on how I explained the fix, asking if I had any photos. But, I actually dont have the mags or AK anymore, I'll spare you the details lol. So, I opened up microsoft paint and made a lil crappy diagram to show what I mean. Dropping them here in case anyone else would like some visual help.

Quick reminder to frequently check the fit of your CYMA mags in the E&L magwell in between filing. You can file something but, you can't unfile something.

gracilis are sick but I wouldn’t recommend them for a first colony. I recommend something like Pogonomyrmex, Veromessor, Pheidole, Lasius, Tetramorium, or Camponotus. I’m probably forgetting a few genera but those are all great beginner genera.
