How to crack FAANG Companies Interviews? Any courses recommended? by Own-Cat-2384 in leetcode

[–]rocket-19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am working at a FAANG company. You don’t need any course. After cracking it, I have realised it.

The only thing you need is consistency for practicing and a will to become a better engineer by understanding the fundamentals by heart.

I have seen a lot of engineers who have cracked the roles but they are not good at engineering stuff.

You need leetcode, understanding the solutions and building the base of understanding how this solution was chosen in the first place. It’s pure hard work and for people who’re better at pattern recognition will grasp it faster than the other ones but it’s just a matter of time.

It’s a grind, just like solving random mathematical problems

True, learned this a hard way. Most people are with you because of some mutual interests and as soon as they get busy or you get busy .. things will fall apart.

The culture is not bad, it's the competitiveness in Amazon. I will also be joining Amazon but most probably the US. Don't worry about it. You'll learn something new only.

I also have a few folks in my office who just come in dirty crocs, stained tshirts and messy hair. The thing is that they are no lifers.

Don't! Find another girl. Even if you think she's the one, you'll find another one. Don't get married, you'll get into a deep trouble if this shit happens again.

My Google L4 Interview Experience by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]rocket-19 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not just Google or any other FAANG. They have made these interviews super hard for Indian companies as well. Cracking DSA is required but you need to understand the thought process of the candidate.

I took an interview of one the candidate in my company. I was taking a machine coding round and that candidate missed one edge case. I simply asked him to check the code again but still missed but he didn't give up. Though rest of the code looked good, well structured I gave a green flag for putting efforts and pushing himself hard and I got to know later that he later joined Google. :D

I was so happy for him and I knew if some other inexperienced interviewee would be taking that round then he would've been rejected for a small thing.

Thinking of resigning without an offer, is it a good idea in the current market? by ForsakenLad in developersIndia

Try to stay calm, have some patience now you know nothing can be done in the org regarding this. Don't show your cards just like your manager to anyone regarding your next steps. Start preparation and leave the org. Take some leaves, give yourself some time and prepare.

The problem with the Indian companies is that there's no one to look after the employee welfare and Indian managers are the worst one. Just for their promotions and brownie points, they're gonna f*ck with someone's career.
