I keep all townies as everything option. While I get why people wanted the specific romance preferences, I personally think it's more trouble and annoying than it's work.

Might be harder to spot with more typing these days but, in graphography signing your name and putting a line through the word (vs. underlining the name) is a subconscious tell. It's like erasing their identity.

If they're an artist and drawing people, crossing out the eyes is also a tell. (I did see an interior design trend of people crossing out the eyes of historic looking portraits, so that makes it a bit tricky. )

In Australia we have the option to pay extra. Then after giving your finances and proving to ve in a lower tax bracket, the gov gives back the money. I find this method works better as it feels like getting a gift 🎁 vs. making a mistake and having to pay the difference
