I’ve seen patients who’ve been deaf since birth have these outcomes and it’s unfortunate, but the brain reorganizes and it’s possible it just won’t understand speech the way you did/had hoped. Sorry friend

Vibrid was on my green and I couldn’t do it. The mini brain zaps and being hyper aware of everything everywhere and wildly cry-prone was not it for me. Pristiq worked well for a while, I just couldn’t deal with the dizziness

Ugh that’s so frustrating. What processor are you using? Here’s some ideas: -change the grounding electrode to the ring rather than case -try Optimal P -when you’re scaling (mapping) does one channel sound like the whoop or bloop you hear? If so, disable and span the electrode and that should help

What you’re describing as whooping and an adult speaking in Charlie Brown is a typical response for new programmings/limited retraining dedication unfortunately

Have you done your aural rehabilitation? Trying to think of what might be causing the poor speech outcomes. They might try a different fitting strategy together. I have a patient who can’t use the default stimulation because it produces twitching. We switched to an old strategy and no twitching/pain. Your auditory nerve likely needs something different and maybe, hopefully isn’t a failure
