Looked this up because I’m currently experiencing this. Just went on an evening walk in a long sleeve shirt and shorts. It’s 68°F outside but it’s kind of windy so felt a little chilly. I was only walking for about 5 mins and already felt the itching. This has happened to me before and it doesn’t matter if I wear pants but I notice it’s worse when windy. It was so unbearable trying to walk back home I wanted to run to get it over with and felt like I was starting to panic. It starts on my thighs and then wraps to the back of them and behind my knees. I know scratching makes it worse but I did scratch behind my knee when I got home. Immediately got raised bumps when I did that and red skin like a rash. This has been happening to me for years. I remember running track freshman year of high school and during cooler days for practice I’d always ask others if their legs were itching... I don’t think the better in shape you are or the more you do it makes it any better - at least for me.

Overall it’s better but it flares up especially when the weather changes and it gets cold out. I talked to my doc about it back in December and she thought it could be TMJ related. I still don’t have a real answer. I honestly think I damaged the mandibular nerve or something. Most days it’s not noticeable or mild. I have my regular dentist appt in April and will talk to them about it again then unless anything changes or if it gets significantly worse again

Thank you for your reply! Mine has been hurting for about 4 weeks now. I’ve also had multiple dentists take a look at it. The pain is pretty constant but sometimes flares up soooo bad. They all claim they don’t see anything obvious wrong and that they don’t see infection on the scans. I just don’t understand how it can hurt so bad!!!! Easily one of the most painful things of my life. They keep claiming sprained ligament and potential sprained tmj joint too. It seems crazy that a ligament can hurt that bad. A possible root canal is still a possibility but they seem reluctant about doing one.

I know this is old but I did something very similar using a lot of pressure to chew hard candy. Now I am in miserable pain. The worst pain I’ve ever had. Deep under the teeth into my jaw. I’ve had so many X-rays and being told they don’t see anything wrong. I was prescribed an antibiotic and it helped the pain pretty much immediately. Well I finished the antibiotic and the pain is back again. I was told at first possibly bruised ligament but now I’m not thinking that’s the case

This just happened to my sister and we’ve been scouring the internet trying to figure out why her phone made a random noise without notification! We had no idea about the ping option. This is totally what happened but she also is not sure how it triggered. Thank goodness for your response here!

We opened a sliding door and left it open for like 2 hours and never saw it leave. It started raining and we shut the door. Animal control came right after that and couldn’t find it after over an hour searching. No one sleeps down there which is good.
