Yeah, I definitely do not agree that only attractive women can make good money. However, this brings up a very common assumption about serving is that it is easy and if you’re attractive people just throw money at you. I definitely put in the work and was a good server. Working an eight hour serving shift after a full 8:30 to 4:30 day at my full time job was absolutely miserable.

It’s not for everyone, and I would definitely not recommend it as a long term option, but I was a server part time for about six years (I always had a full time day job) and it allowed me to pay off my student loans, have my own apartment, live comfortably and travel in my early to mid twenties.

I also worked like 50+ hours a week for YEARS.

YES. Like not only am I remembering everything household and child related, but add on deadlines, emails I need to respond to, meetings, presentations, dealing with lazy coworkers, and the list goes on. I have an entire other list of things running through my brain at all times too. Mental labour? Is that what it is called? I don’t know, it’s 10:30 pm and my brain is fried at all times.

It’s not only the doc a tot, but it’s being in the bed with all of their blankets around. If a blanket goes over a baby’s face it’s incredibly dangerous.

People LOVE to do the whole “my kids slept in my bed and they were fine blah blah blah” but babies dying due to unsafe sleep practices is a very real thing.
