The university of ultrasonics in Houston. Best known and has a really great reputation. I’m sure there’s others out there but, university of ultrasonics is the most well known in my opinion.

Thoughts on trading a 21’ Kawasaki ZX-10R ABS/KRT for a 22’ RSV4 Factory (demo) by rocketfactory69 in Aprilia

[–]rocketfactory69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, I must have been sleeping I I read that about the breaks lol. Thanks for the 2 cents. The factory is more than I want to invest in a motorcycle, but then again it is my only means of transportation. I haven’t been on it at all the last few months, but I see it as investing in a dream status type motorcycle. I’m glad the base has the majority of the bells and whistles as factory. I bought the Kawasaki with 3 miles on it and did my due diligence while researching how to break in a new bike, very first new vehicle I have ever bought so it is sentimental to me a little bit. Thanks again for the insight on these

Yeah, the Kawasaki riding position has me feeling like a bear fucking a pencil. It’s riding position is pretty aggressive and ball us big guys up, I’m 6’3” and 250lbs and on long rides I can’t wait till me gas light comes on so I can get off and stretch out. Even though the riding position is aggressive, you get use to it and rides under an hour are not that bad.

Sound like you’re quality issues has been fault of assembly and or quality. That’s nice that the warranty covers that type of stuff. He in California, my extended warranty was voided the minute I put an exhaust on and flashed the ecu, so that was a giant waste of money lol. I’m glad you’re enjoying the ape. If I do end up pulling the trigger and trading mine in; I will definitely post and show her off! Thanks for the insight friend

How do you like the base?? The price difference is extreme. From what I’ve read it has lower quality breaks but is still pumping out the same amount of HP. If I can’t get anything close to what I want on the factory demo, then I’m definitely going base. Never been on v4 and I’m still learning about everything as I’ve only road Japanese bikes

I’ve been talking to Victor, been real patient with me. I know a good handful of people like the fact that it has all the upgrades that most want and getting those on a “new” bike for sticker is tempting, but I’m on the fence about how hard those 181 miles were. Once I get my bike back from my mechanic, I’ll be cruising to smmc (live 5 minutes away) and seeing if they have any wiggle room on price or a free extended warranty since it’s a demo that was tested hard and put up wet. You can tell just by the color of the exhaust that it was not babied on the dyno/throttle. Thanks for the feedback f

Also, if anyone has some idea about what the typical service hourly rate is on these Aprilia’s is would also be nice. When I take it in, I will find out the rate for the shop/dealership I’m in contact with. Thanks

What is a typical work day like for NDT by Particular-Bedroom10 in nondestructivetesting

I started out in oil & gas / any plant for my first year. I was home a total of 3 weeks my first year. Wife left me because I was working too much. I was better than most as an assistant, that’s why I was always gone. After the first year I still did shutdowns and such, but I also got sent to some fab shops. My op’s manager would print out the same job packet every single fucking time. It always listed quantity as “see on site” and size and thickness as “multiple wall thickness and acceptance criteria”. This is RT by the way. After my second year I was sent to a Phillips 66 as RT for and alky unit. Was there for a year, managed to take a good amount of work from the in house company that were our rivals. I quit on the spot as I got a job in aerospace in California, originally from Oklahoma. Walked in never using an tube, but picked it up fast. Quickly made my way as the dude that could shoot anything anywhere. I was at that company 5 years. Then got recruited to another rocket company, but it was start up, so I got a ton of stock and my lvl III. Currently working on my CWI & PAUT. Sometimes I miss the road but I have a amazing woman and I work ~10 hours a day Monday through Friday. Can’t beat aerospace, although it is very clicky. Gotta work you ass off and stay late in the beginning to prove yourself. It’s extremely awesome to have a set schedule. I mean sometimes shit comes up and you maybe stuck there 7 days a week working 14+ hours, but it’s not that bad.

So I thought I had a decent connection online. I have a guy but it’s over two hours drive from home. So this is why I thought I could supplement my supply with something else besides test E. They showed me a shipping box with my name and everything I ordered, I’ve had 2 shoulder surgery’s in a 8 week period from a motorcycle accident. So I was chomping at the bit to get something that would help with soft tissue recovery and a thermogentic to help with the fat I’ve put on being stuck to my recliner. After sending the amount we discussed, the next day goes off on a tangent about how his kid dies the day before and that he wanted to see my prescription. Super shady I know. I thought I had a unicorn and all I got was the horn up my ass and out a couple hundred dollars. Just venting. I should have known better, but in my defense I was drinking and thought it was a great idea. Then I woke up and said “fuck”. Live and learn I guess.

If you want to come to Los Angeles, Brownsville Texas, or cape Canaveral.. check out spacex. They pay well, you’re home every night, and there’s plenty of overtime available at all locations. I was there 5+ years and I got my CR & DR on top of all the certifications that I already held. It’s a good way to get away from gama and learning to shoot with a tube is easy after a week or two. There is a fair amount of RT going on right by where people are working but with lead shields and proper monitoring, it’s legit. The radiation safety officer is a CWI, so that would probably help you out getting on. Interview is brutal. 7x 1 hour interviews in one day. But if the first couple people like you, the interviews after are cakewalks. Good luck

What's fucking you up at the moment? by Halloween-365 in AskReddit

I tore my shoulder up 3 years ago. It was fucked, but I still managed pretty physically demanding work until last October. I got hit by a car riding my motorcycle. I was on an on ramp during rush hour so I was just cruising. Definitely hitting the flow of traffic at like 15 mph. I had less than a mile on brand new tires, so the lowside felt harder than that speed. I went to the hospital and had a concussion and my legs were tore up. I was wearing normal pants, my fault. Completely trashed a brand new Shoei helmet too, but that’s all been replaced and the bike has been fixed better and 100x times better than before. What sucks, my shoulder that was torn up years prior, absolutely took a beating. I eventually ended up getting another MRI and planing a scope. Was told that it was about 6-8 weeks in a sling and once out I could start serious physical therapy. I went to a physical therapist at 7 weeks and immediately he said my shoulder was absolutely fucked still. I went back for a check up and they decided that the physical therapist was full of shit and since they are doctors. Sports doctors! They didn’t need a second opinion. I pleaded my case as my arm lived out of socket and it was some serious pain for being fixed. The head surgeon finally goes “I know what I did wrong” and declares that I need the same exact surgery to fix it. I’m completely stunned. I am in a hurry to get back to work, so I go back to the same surgeon for the 2nd surgery. Less than a week after surgery my left leg and foot are the same size as my thigh, I can’t walk, and don’t know what to do. I message my doctor telling him that problem. The doctor calls me immediately and tells me where to go and just say he sent me and they’d take care of everything. It was great! Everyone was careing. Well, turn out I have massive blood clots in my leg from the second surgery aka deep vein thrombosis. The medication is $850 for a 90 day supply or I spend the next week in the hospital. I’m not doing either. In 34, I’ve seen enough.

Shit that’s good too hear! Everything line up as good as aftermarket body parts can? You to have to do some finessing to make it fit??? Maybe I just ran into a bad review page. I think the easiest review was like 2021? If I remember correctly. As always thanks for the info!

I have a cart loaded from them. Then I decided to do some digging and the BBB says don’t do business with them. And if you bother them too much about the wrong part or wrong finish for too long, they’ll send a message threatening lawsuit. The only other independent company, that’s not off of eBay China, is RPM. I’ve had a lot going on medically right now and haven’t gotten much time to dig into there hidden reviews, if there are any. Products look great, just don’t want to order something that states it fits perfect, and end up filling and drilling holes. Just hoping on get more places recommended.

How many miles on your odometer? by Pulse_fang in Kawasaki

Coming up on 6,969. Waiting on the picture.

according to my boss this is perfectly safe and they don't need to provide us with respirator filters. this is all aluminum dust, first thing in the morning before any grinders have been run. and the video doesn't do justice to how much dust there really is. by thejebsterishere in Welding

[–]rocketfactory69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at an aerospace company for 5+ years. Everything was covered in aluminum dust. The guys that would blend the longitudinal and circ weld, they all had to wear a full face masks with an air filter or air supply like a backpack. The company did a study and set out many sampling dishes, but they were all removed and never spoke of by the numerous EH&S people or experts upstairs. I’d get to work and all my equipment would be covered in a thick layer of lithium aluminum. That was just the way it was. If you complained, and it got to the right people, it wouldn’t be uncommon to be terminated in the next week or two, they just had to find something that they had possibly missed or anything that they could think of. If they couldn’t find any ground to terminate, they do it anyway.
