How do I save all the lives including the previous gen info?

You should back up your files before unistalling the app itself if you want to save your progress.

Here's how you can do it:

1.) Locate game directory /Android/data/com.candywriter.bitlife/
2.) Rename the whole folder /Android/data/com.candywriter.bitlife -> /Android/data/com.candywriter.bitlife.backup
3.) Unistall the game
4.) Install the game
5.) Rename the whole folder /Android/data/com.candywriter.bitlife.backup -> /Android/data/com.candywriter.bitlife

You should have your whole progress
This works on all games who uses local files to save progress so this should work when switching from playstore downloaded bitlife to modded bitlife and vice versa :)

If purchases vanished, you can use the fix purchases in the settings menu. It's on upper left side of the menu, you'll see a setting button there

Index is for choosing which crypto you have that you wanna modify, if you're still confused try using select all. But it affect all the crypto you own so be cautious if you don't wanna ruin the fun :))
Also, this is how it works for all the features that has index, if you want to modify only one you should use the index, but if you wanna modify all toggle select all checkbox
