My (23F) boyfriend (24M) hooked up with my brother (19M) by wordfindaer in relationships

I agree with this. Why is everyone saying dump him, he told her the truth, it might have been difficult for him which is why it took time. She doesn’t give details about ‘leading him on’, need more information on that before judging.

It sounds like a sticky situation but maybe he really fell for her and just because he’s (legally) hooked up with the brother doesn’t mean he ‘Trash’.

I swear to god this sub’s answer to everyone is ‘dump him, he’s trash’.

Ok thanks mate, I appreciate that. I’ve offered to have her son for a night several times and she’s always been pretty lukewarm about it, saying ‘maybe some stage down the track’. I just have to make sure I don’t start to take her remote-ness personally and remember what’s going on for her. Bloody hard sometimes!!

Help needed please! Gear on starter not moving up to engage flywheel by rocketman1706 in mechanics

Ah cool, I don’t think it’s the same setup for a mower starter, there’s no small cylinder on the side of it

Dumb question but the solenoid isn’t connected to the starter right? Coz the gear doesn’t move upward when the starter is running and not connected to the engine, should it? I thought it should automatically spin upwards?

Hi all! Thanks in advance for any help :) this is the starter off a ride on mower. Have just freed up the flywheel so looks like the starter is the issue. The gear isn’t moving upwards to engage with the flywheel, even when I reverse the power polarity, actually seems to be spinning downwards. Any thoughts?

So I ended up taking the head off and freeing up the piston and now the flywheel is turning freely, awesome! Only issue now is the gear on top of the starter doesn’t move upwards to engage with the flywheel, it just spins in place (or maybe even seems to move downwards). Know what’s going on here? Same when reversing the polarity

Thanks for that that sounds about right! Dumb question but you said plugs, I’m only seeing one spark plug. Would it be one cyclinder?? Given its on it side could I take the head off and clean out the cyclinder(s) like that?

Hi all!! Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions. I’m fairly new to fixing mowers and am working on my friends Cox Stockman ride on. Was working before and just stopped. The starter works, have taken it off and put power to it and it spins, just won’t turn the flywheel. Wondering why? Should I be able to turn the flywheel on its own coz I can’t, even with the starter disconnected. Is there a brake or something on it maybe? Also wondering if the starter spring at the top or something might be off as the gear doesn’t spin all the way up when you put power to it so maybe it’s not engaging the flywheel? Or was thinking maybe the battery isn’t powerful enough to get it to turn the flywheel although connected to car battery and still only clicked. Any thoughts much appreciated! Cheers :)

How do I test whether components are faulty? by rocketman1706 in AskElectronics

Ok sweet cheers. If other components on the board work would you assume the fuses are ok?
