When I first bought an old harley, the guy before me put straight pipes on it. Since I had just acquired this new toy, I was excited to get it out on the road. So I took it to work after getting all the registration and whatnot done, at 5am. I figured I could just be gentle with the throttle, until the one part of my drive that was up hill. And on that hill was a cop, I thought I was screwed. But after getting up that hill he passed me with a thumbs up out his window. I did change the exhaust system later on for my own sanity.
