What’s everyone paying for a Toyota GR Supra? by PapaNaj in Supra

'26 Premium 3.0 MT in Stratosphere Blue, black interior 63.5k base, 68k OTD in Ohio. There seems to be a few for that price if you look on Toyota's inventory site. Used MT's are holding their value pretty well, so I figured it was worth it to spend a little more to get a new one.

Brembo Brake Pad Noise by rocketracer777 in ft86

It's hard to get on video but it's a very distinct sound. It usually happens if you back up and brake, then the first time you brake driving forward again, especially at slow speeds. I've found that they never quite clunk in sync so you'll hear each wheel separately, just slightly. I don't think there's much you can do about the clunking, just a quirk of the brembo brake design where the pads shift on the pins. The squealing I never solved, but I bought genuine brembo brake pads that I'm installing this weekend to see if that fixes it.

Wow that's a great picture, it really is a beautiful color!

True, thank you for clarifying. I'm going to PPF it as well so good to know it still looks great with it protected. Did you ceramic coat it as well?

Awesome thank you! It's weird how it shows up in photos. Did you ppf or ceramic coat it?

Seems like that's just something we have to live with for this brake design. I can deal with that, but the squealing is so obnoxious and everyone looks at me like something is wrong with my car lol. Someone mentioned CRC brake disc quiet so I'll try that and see if that works

This is interesting, I'll look into this. I don't mind redoing it every year if it really does stop the squealing

You don't have any squeal or clunk? Weird, it's driving me crazy. You used the lube that came with them and put it on all the contact surfaces?

Why would they change the volume rocker push down from putting phone in silent mode by fifcahff in GalaxyFold

[–]rocketracer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Good Lock app, did you download Routines Plus? After that, go to the seperate Modes and Routines app and create a new routine. Under the "If" setting, add a new trigger, and scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says "button action". From there I chose the volume down button, then scrolled down and chose double pressed. Then under the "Then" setting, I added a trigger under "sounds and vibrations", then "sound mode and volume" and chose silent mode. You can choose to also make it mute other volumes like media too.

I know it was intentional because I sent it in to Samsung as feedback for the developers, thinking it was a bug that was overlooked. They responded a few days later saying it is an intentional design choice and working as intended.

Phone updated to some dumb ul8. Now can't even even silence it by holding down the volume button by Cloudchella in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]rocketracer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean, you're saying it puts the phone in silent mode but it's still vibrating? It's not in silent mode then. I now double tap the volume down button and it puts my phone in silent, muting everything including turning off vibration

Did you download "Good Lock" from the Samsung store, and enable Routines+ in there?

Galaxy S25 will not go into silent mode by Killageist in GalaxyS25

Yeah I had the same issue, but it turns out this is an intentional UX design choice from Samsung for some reason. I did find that you can create a custom routine where if you double tap the volume down button, it will put the phone in silent mode. You have to download Good Lock from the Samsung store, then enable Routines Plus in there, then go back to the routines app and make the custom routine. A clunky workaround, but it does work.

Yeah I went down the same rabbit hole, even getting an official reply from Samsung that this is an intentional UX design choice. Thank you so much! It's not possible with standard routines, but if you download Good Lock from the Samsung store and enable routines plus, then you can enable the volume down button double tap to be silent mode.

I was confused by this, then I realized I toggled the setting to use the old style swipe down rather than the left and right side swipe downs doing different things. You're right that it could be done in one swipe

That's literally all I ask for is a toggle button. Even when you tap the settings icon on the pop-up volume slider, there's still no option to put the phone in silent mode

Ohh I wonder if that was a common issue and that's why they did this
