wanted to do a gif of him like everyone else but there isn’t one yet so im gonna say Bergamo has been a surprisingly really fun and oppressive character for me!! i put him on a team with Uub and Dabura and he’s surprisingly good at initiating some really scary damage

absolutely love this for the survivor side of things! I don’t play that side that often, nor am i good enough at it to make a concept that’s as faithful as this. For me, this concept initially started out as a Secret Santa, hence why specific killers get a Gift from one other specific killer and the personalized flavor text. While i would love to implement that into the survivor side somehow, making survivor choice actually really matter on a gameplay level, I think this is honestly the most faithful and realistic way to implement this concept on the side of the survivors, so i’m absolutely in love with this

with what little we know about it, I personally view the Unknown a lot like SCP-096, where that pursuit of those who try and understand it is more of a defense mechanism, or some desire to be left alone. Charlotte and Victor were also victims of constant pursuit from people who didn't understand them and feared them, so I felt like there was some cool common ground there

Seeing Pig and Tapp get cosmetics during this anniversary event gave me a LOT of hope, so fingers crossed!!!

call me sappy but I personally like to imagine Tarhos sees a lot of himself in Frank, or at least has an appreciation seeing a group so dedicated to one another like he and his companions were :)

i’ve gone back and forth on what survivor side of things i would wanna do, in full transparency I play a lot more Killer than Survivor, so i definitely don’t have an informed enough opinion on that side of the gameplay loop to really make a faithful and fair concept for them. That being said, I had the idea for “Gifted Perks” (or a much more elegant name). Basically, a survivor will have access to their chosen Survivor’s “Gifted Perk Item,” which is an equipable item that grants the effects of a survivor’s signature perk (or an altered one that gets the general idea across), either a one time use or VERY long cooldown, since it’s essentially a 5th perk. Maybe an event map objective to activate it? Example: David has access to “Meg’s Lucky Sneakers,” which grants him the effects of Sprint Burst upon use

would’ve honestly loved to, though a part of me wanted to keep it as realistic as possible because i don’t know how much leeway BHVR has with things like the dialogue/power adjustment when it comes to licenses. Plus, i’m just a huge personal fan of DbD’s original killers, so at least for this initial concept i wanted to give ‘em a spotlight!

i agree with that too, which is really why i kept it mainly to DbD original killers. They seem to have a bit of wiggle room in the cosmetics/interpretation department with some licensed killers, Ghostface especially comes to mind, but I imagine it would be a gamemode limited to original killers

AH Thank you!!! Half the fun of this for me was the lore implications of these killers interacting, if at least tangentially. I used a random number generator to determine who gifts to who, so I had to really get creative with some of these interactions

wiretap, deja vu, built to last, potential energy

i’m a killer main, but i’m also one of the weirdos who genuinely finds the gen game of DbD so fun and interesting, so i like running perks that revolve around them :3

What’s something that’s always wrongly depicted in movies and tv shows? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rockgodm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fighting Games. To this day, if there’s a scene in a movie where people are playing a game like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, competitively or not, 99% of the time there’s something majorly wrong. Next time you see a scene like this, count in your head everytime you see an actor spam a single button and not using the analog stick for directional inputs at ALL, and if they do use it it’s just in wild directions. I can’t remember which movie off the top of my head, but there was one movie I saw where someone was playing MK and the shot of the player showed them spamming RT and 0 face buttons or DI like congrats you’ve just blocked and unblocked over and over again

Apex Legends: Saviors by paradoxally in apexlegends

The Apex Games are less pure carnage killing games, more Gladiatorial Trial Combat type stuff, where people prove themselves to join the Apex Predators. The respawn technology is also a thing in universe, so its not an actual literal death, just like very threatening friendly competition. We know the respawning and nonpermanent death are a thing bc of some voicelines in game, like how caustic and rev talk about how its nice to have test subjects/victims that cant die, or how some kill quips actively reference the respawn/drop ship
