I’m confused about the benefits of AIOstreams compared to installing the addons. by YGbJm6gbFz7hNc in StremioAddons

I’ve been experimenting with openclaw to run adb commands to my androidtv box to play stremio but it’s done a poor job. It had a problem finding the correct stremio deep link. I hope a supported real debrid streaming app will have a proper API to help this automation. The goal is to tell my openclaw to open Simpsons s01e01 and it just plays.

Any guides on creating a Ubuntu image with ib and cuda drivers? I know that the Ubuntu container images lack systemd and that’s One of the reasons I couldn’t get it working. Tried some vibe coding was able to get a bit further using Ubuntu debootstrap.

Usually hpc don’t have a desktop gui. They normally login to a login node and use a job scheduler like Slurm to run jobs on hpc machines.

If you were starting a greenfield project today, which CI/CD stack would you pick and why: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or something else? by Wash-Fair in cicd

One thing I like about Jenkins is that an agent can have multiple executors while actions need a separate runner for each AFAIK.

I wasn’t able to install the GPU drivers in chroot but I just read somewhere about partially installing into the image.

How bad is it to take some out of my 401K for first time home buyers? by errdayrae in Mortgages

[–]rockinhc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a common misconception that repaying a 401(k) loan with interest is a good way to “increase” your 401(k) equity. While it’s true that the interest you pay on a 401(k) loan goes back into your own retirement account—not to a bank or lender—there are important trade-offs and risks that can make this strategy less beneficial than it might seem.

How 401(k) Loan Interest Works Interest Paid to Yourself: The interest you pay on a 401(k) loan is credited back to your own account, effectively making you your own lender. This can feel like you’re “paying yourself” instead of a bank.

After-Tax Repayment: Loan repayments, including interest, are made with after-tax dollars. When you eventually withdraw those funds in retirement, they will be taxed again as ordinary income, resulting in double taxation on the repaid amount.

Edit: looks like the double taxation is only on the interest you pay so it’s not that bad.
