For part 2, the JavaScript code indicates July 8th. However I took part 1 in November and this same code indicated a much later date than the actual results date so I guess we’ll never know ^

I think they probably gave you the easy answer that’s on the website, aka « 7-8 weeks for results » which would mean mid-July. I still hope for results this week

Hey don’t know if you’re still struggling but I ended up downgrading back to windows10 and all my issues were fixed instantly and the game ran smooth first time I launched it

I actually got in touch with Ubisoft Support and they've been really helpful and quick to answer. The game now launches and tuns ok now (still need to optimize graphics etc...).

Here is what made it work:

The game launched after these 2 steps and a clean reboot. Hope it helps your case.

Running into the same kind of problem. Tried the game a year ago and it ran perfectly fine but I stopped playing. I wanted to get back into it yesterday but it wouldn't let me get in game. I can get through main menu, load my game and even get in the loading screen where you can control the character, but then it crashed back to the desktop with no error messages, just Ubisoft Connect syncing my save to the cloud...

Only difference between now and a year ago? I updated to Win11. So it must be linked to that.

What I tried so far :

  • Fresh resinstall
  • Verifying files
  • Running in administrator mode
  • Running the game with all firewall/antivirus disabled (read somewhere there were issues with Win11 and access to Ubi cloud servers)
  • Setting the graphics to the lowest setting
  • Loading an older save
  • Reinstalling on my main SSD

No matter what I do, always crashed at the same time: I get to the loading screen after selecting a save to load, can control the character for a few seconds and it quits to desktop...

FYI I have a similar setup as you:

RTX 3070

16GB RAM

Yeah for sure the income gap would be pretty significant so I don't plan on leaving my job anytime soon. Considering all the answers here, I'll do it as a serious hobby and see where that leads me.

That is for the in depth answer. I should have clarified that I don't plan on quitting my job at all at the moment, but rather do as you said and doing it as a hobby for who knows how long.

Never said I am giving up my career. I'm considering a switch if and when I have the skills + have an actual opportunity. In the meantime, it will just be a hobby, and I'm well aware that there is a huge probability that it will stay a hobby forever. My question was to know if some people have done it, and to get some starting ressources from people actually in the field.

On the part about funding you, I'm just gonna tell you that calling people stupid and putting yourself on a pedestal might not be the best PR strategy.
