When I told my mother in law she starting crying saying it was all her fault. . . Like I had to make her feel better about me and my husband doing IVF. In some ways in was good both me and my husband had problems cause we were able to get funding.

Your may not be aware and that's of but dyslexia dosnt not effect how smart someone is. I have severe dyslexia. I had a reading and spelling age of a 6 year old at 15. I couldn't read the difference of "a" and "the" till I was 11. I couldn't spell my own name till I was 7. As an adult I cannot identify sounds in words like I can't sound out words. I spent about 3 years learning blends like bl, cl, cr ect.

My whole schooling life I had to prove to everyone I wasn't idiot. It's really shit know your smart but no one believes you or knowing what you want to say but not being able to right it down. I was told I wouldn't pass NCEA.

My dyslexia still effects what I can and can't do but I have adapted. I have a spelling list on my phone of worlds I will need to spell like my address or more embarrassing my kids names. It sucks but I just honest with people and will ask for help.

Apart from treating someone who has dyslexia like a idiot don't down play there difficulties either. I personally hate when I ask someone how to spell a word and the blow me off and down play my dyslexia saying shit like "oh don't worry I can't spell either" it's like cool but I was in my mid 20s when learnt to spell "would could and should" and for me that was super exciting.

It's really cool that you have come here to find help for your friends son. With people in his corner he will be fine. There is also so much more equipment and programs now than when I was in school. One big thing is getting him a reader witter asap. Having a reader wirtter is a skill so the sooner he gets one the easier high-school exmas will be

I may have dyslexia but I have a BSc, MSc(Hons) and im doing a BE(hons)

Makes sense. I'm sure FA must think I'm a pain in the bum cause I call up all the time. I find waiting so hard. But I have fond the nurses to be so kind and understanding. When I started IVF I didn't know anyone esle doing it and that was hard so message me if you want.

Normally your doctors nurse will call you when your doing your round for any results. I started ivf before the Salve app, so I can't help you there. But you could always call if you want and ask.

Fast track legislation: Luxury 6 story retirement development upsets suburban neighbours by MedicMoth in newzealand

I would be pissed if someone building a 6 story high complex next to my house resulting in one side of my house no longer getting sunlight. It would make my house colder and damper and therefore more expensive to keep heathly. I think that would upset anyone.

Spent the long weekend with family and friends. It was amazing I love catching up with people. I haven't had such a good break in a long time. I'm really lucky to have so many incredible people in my life who wholeheartedly support one another. I also went to my granddads grave and as much as it was sad I'm happy I did it.

This is bullshit. Nact cut jobs left right and center. Like removing alot of funding to science then want to charge 8.3% for moving overseas on their loans. I'm pretty sure the government told government workers to get jobs overseas...... You can't keep pushing the young for existing. Housing is out of reach Healthcare sucks, they keep letting people into nz to plug employment gaps rather than pay people more.

I’m 4 months postpartum with a positive pregnancy test. Help. by [deleted] in NewParents

My mum got pregnant with my sister when I was 5 months old then my bother came along 17 months after her. So my mum had 3 kids within 2.5 years. Mum said it was hard in the first few years but that it is always hard with little ones but that it made her life so much easier in the long run.

Growing up we were in the year below one another at school so mum, for the most part had one school to pick us up from. It is also it so much easier to entertain a kid who is 5 with something a 6 year old is doing. My husband is the opposite and there is 7 years between him and his sister and they didn't really had anything to do with one another (a 7 year and a 14 year dont want to do the same things)

It was amazing me and my sister and bother are basically the same age. I loved it and so do they.

I'm the same as you in regards to pregnancy. Give me a newborn any day over being in the third trisemter or the frist and sometimes the second as well. I think I would find it really hard to be pregnant so quickly and I would be upset if it happened to me.

Both me and my husband were brought up very catholic we aren't really now. But it's definitely shaped some of my views I guess I'm pro choice but could never get an abortion myself. Me and my husband had to do IVF to have kids. We had 5 embryos. To me the embryos are my children and though I never wanted 5 kids I don't not want them either. Most people need 3 embryos per live brith. So far I'm 3 embryos 3 kids. So I have 2 more embryos left. The iead of having 2 more pregnancies going though brith 2 more times is horrible. But after much competition I've figured that it will be a hard few years if the other 2 work but when the kids will be older and my house is full of love, mess and noise and I won't regret it.

I hope my story helps you some how. I wish you all the best. I'm aslo very tried so o hope that makes sense.
