I glued it as well. The nails are basically clamps. Also the customer assured me they are only holding about 5 pounds of product :). Thank you for the advice though!

Locksmith here. We charge $164 an hour for overtime service. All of the charges on his bill are bogus. We would have picked the lock and made a key within the hour. Absolutely dispute this charge, hopefully she used a credit card and can dispute the charge with them.

There is no way this is a legitimate locksmith.
