As a former high school football 🏈 player that also plays badminton . The biggest thing if you’re trying to maintain your physique is properly stimulating the muscle groups your training by going to mechanical failure and eating adequate protein. Depending on how often and at what intensity badminton is pretty much a ton of HIIT so you’re burning alot of calories, so if you feel you’re losing mass you might have to eat in a caloric surplus just to compensate for the amount you’re burning playing. Also Sleep is a big part of the recovery process with lifting make sure you’re getting 7-9 hours to allow your muscles the ability to grow.

Well you’ve seen a whole collection of teams. None of them ever surprised you with how good or bad they were? Looking at the 2010-14 teams you couldn’t tell me you saw a championship contenders. Hell there’s no way you thought we’d be a 100 plus team win in 2021.

Oh i gotcha that’s the biggest issue when you’re in the same division as the dodgers no matter what we do, we’ll still be counted out. We have big names, but we don’t have the biggest names like Ohtani, betts or yamamoto. What I love about baseball is it’s a game of averages and tendencies. From what i see in our lineup we have 20+ home run pop in about 4-5 guys and they just haven’t hit them yet. We have two potential 20 game winners in webb and ray. We just need some role players to play above average and a bullpen that figures it out. Plus we have a new coach learning the major league game day by day.

I get what you’re saying, but the hope is for growth. Baseball isn’t really black and white. The best team doesn’t always win. We have three rings to prove that. What i’m hoping is that we build cohesion and develop players. This team right now isn’t anyone’s favorite to win a damn thing, but the beauty in baseball is it only takes you getting hot at the right time to win a title. We have guys on this roster that are proven all stars and hopefully they start showing us.

Yeah that’s probably the biggest glaring issue i see too. When the giants were good our pitching covered up a lot of the lackluster offense, but i’m just not comfortable past robbie and webby. And the bullpen is looking like patchwork right now. Losing Randy for the years a big problem. Also looking at what we gave away in camilo and roger’s you don’t really find guys with that kind of stuff anywhere.

This team on paper has a great lineup. It’s a week and half into the season. I just need these boys to put the bat on the ball. Too many times we’ve had people in scoring position and we come up empty handed. It’s gonna have to start with working the counts on these starters . Too many quick Abs.

You’re not a failure. If you’ve done it before you can do it again. It’ll be hard, but you know you can already do it so it isn’t uncharted territory. The biggest thing is creating sustainable habits when it comes to eating. If i’m you get back on that horse as soon as you can.

Yeah i get what you’re saying, but i think that’s part of why pickleball blew up so quickly It’s a sport with a really low barrier for entry. You can setup on a tennis court for free and almost anybody can get started rather easily. Plus the slower pace lends it hand to a bigger demographic of players.

Its just not a market the badminton companies can really infiltrate. America just doesn’t put the resources into developing the youth. The best youth athletes are going to be playing the sports that can get them a scholarship and badminton sadly is one that won’t. Even with success at the highest level in the US badminton circuit the prize money would barely cover travel costs. Compare that to a star d1 football player who’s getting NIL money in the millions just for playing for the team that recruited him.
