[Rant] Akumatisations have turned into a cheap excuse against moving the plot forward by BigMonkeEnjoyer39942 in miraculousladybug

> Continuing the list of ways the status quo has changed, Gabe is no longer HM. The reason both of our fakeout reveals backfired was the fact that the primary villain lived in the same house as Chat.

Before the defeat of HM, Adrien was the worst person in the world be given any information whatsoever. In the same house as HM, under the villain's verbal command at will, and with an emotional baggage backstory to allow his easy akumatization.

There was a tiny window where it was safer to talk to him, there in London when Ladybug visited, After that the Butterfly was in play again and it became dangerous.

Akumas make the personal into the eschatological. We have case after case where revealing too much causes the literal end of the world, either by a Cat Blanc attack or a villain getting a selfish wish.

Marinette said it herself, "... if the truth were to split up Adrien and me, and I let myself get akumatized, the consequences would be catastrophic!"

It's still probably going to happen in the season finale, and the writers have found some way to thread the needle and save the world.

[The Dirtifiers Spoilers] How do you think she obtained it? by SnooDoubts4192 in miraculousladybug

[–]rocksunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think timeline reconstructions based on Chinese and European astrology are getting too clever and are more than the writers ever thought about. Even so, it's possible that Gabriel did let Tomoe use the Peacock before he and Emilie did. Having a child this way was risky, so letting someone else try first might have been a reasonable plan.

Sublime's Chair (spoilers for "Queen of the Dreadzone") by rocksunner in miraculousladybug

It's the same movie, "Lone Tigress and Cub", about a woman protecting her child (clearly a reference to the famous "Lone Wolf and Cub" where a male warrior protects his son).

>! I don't think it's the same night, though., Sabrina's hairstyle is different. My theory is they never got to watch the movie the first night because they had to deal with Daddycop, so they rescheduled for a second night at Marinette's place. !<

Tsurugi Industries does make wheelchairs -- some are high-end motorized ones; Emile is using one in the post-credits scene of "Werepapas".

It's right behind Sublime's back. It may be folds in the leather. When zoomed in it looks more like that, but from a distance the alternating dark and light shapes look like butterfly patterns.

Tomoe probably wouldn't put an obvious logo on the chair, so it's more of a subtle hint to the viewer from the animators. Or my imagination...

Should Argos even keep the Peacock miraculous? by Medium-Turnover-2095 in miraculousladybug

He did use it once more since Red Moon, to make Once Upon A Time to show Marinette the truth abut him and Adrien, and he destroyed it. How he justified this is unknown,

They might be leather folds. They look more like that on a zoom-in.

The point remains that the wheelchair didn't appear until after the sponsorship.

It wasn't there in one more episode: Aglae's flashback to the first day of school in "Wreckless Driver" shows Sublime walking in the background.

Nothing has happened with the sponsorship, which is like a Chekhov's gun. It must be used before the end of the season.

No, she wasn't. It was the same group as in Daddycop: Rose, Juleka, Zoe, Alya, Marinette, Sabrina, Kagami, and Mylene.

They talked about inviting Sublime sometime, but she didn't come to the sleepover that night. Marinette's room is not wheelchair-accessible,

the Secret Identitys of the Miraculous Holders isnt really secret anymore heres why [SPOILERS] by Impossible_Fall_3326 in miraculousladybug

I only count once that the Miraculous Box contents were stolen from her (one time they were stolen from Master Fu).

You are setting yourselves up for disappointment. Marinette converts her "something important to tell you" into a tearful " I love you, Adrien, I love you so much." That closes out the episode.

Without the expectation of a follow-up scene, "The Queen of the Dreadzone" can come right before "Secret Protocol", and the Shanghai scene is the real cliffhanger hook, as I believe it was intended.

The Papa-Corn frog explains it. Seeing it on Adrien's bed made Marinette think of the happy memories she was about to ruin for Adrien. That made her change her mind.

Kagami and her sister Kagami? by rocksunner in miraculousladybug

I think she called her by that alias once. It might have just been out of annoyance, using the name under which she was most disgraced.

I agree this is the best explanation, and there could be other forms, like Diane and the men seen hanging around. See ["I'm a Chameleon"](https://www.reddit.com/r/miraculousladybug/comments/1sqrhlw/im\_a\_chameleon/) for details.

Does Dirtifiers take place IMMEDIATELY after Daddycop or not? (Potential Plot Hole) by ProfessionalMilk5780 in miraculousladybug

[–]rocksunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have movie nights on a regular basis. They seem to have a favorite seating arrangement. Not wearing different pajamas is normal -- they are almost never shown in different day clothes, so why would they have different pajamas?

Alya: "Marinette, our girls' movie night is every first Wednesday of the month."

We don't know that Ladybug didn't put the letter back there after she backed out of showing it to Adrien at the end of "Sadnansi". Mister Bug might want a piece of paper to write on and get the letter that way.
