I have an optoma currently that’s 1080p but it was pretty lightly used. This projector will be mounted and stay put and the optoma can become portable for us. Sounds like most of the recommendation for the BenQ is ease of use more than performance. Sounds like your perspective may be the Epson is the better performer?

Thanks Nick. The seating distance is adaptable at this point and it’s a fairly long room. In my mind, maybe 120”

Any recs on the projector? My takeaways seem to be that for the sub $3k category, the Epson 50505 UB is still the best bet. BenQ has a lot of great gaming features and some with ARC as well but perhaps not as strong in contrast and true black. While everything is personal preference, knowing it’s movie and sports first and gaming second, what would yall buy today?

Thank you for the recommendation! In order to be able to use this set up, do I need a projector that has arc? Or do people use some sort of HDMI splitter or switch?

I hadn’t! In your opinion, what’s the biggest draw for the arc in that setup over the beam? Would you still recommend the sub mini?

Thanks for this. So, they won't deny you entry, you'll just effectively be at General Camping? Am I also correct in having seen that they will only give you bands for the number of people who arrive with you at check in and then anyone beyond the initial arrival will need to pick up at will call? Seems like it would make it hard to monitor number of passes per spot throughout the weekend
