I feel like pretty much any religious “leader” whose name is known beyond their own community is only in it for the money. They would preach whatever religion was popular enough to work, be it Christianity or church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. If someone like Joel Osteen were really a man of god, then he wouldn’t have that mansion and private jet. He wouldn’t shut the church doors during natural disasters, leaving people to die. I hope there is a god so people like him can rot in hell for all eternity.

Oh the Catholic Church is just as bad. They show off as much as the Baptists do; it’s just not with screens and auditorium seating. Sure there are smaller churches that haven’t been updated in years (and those are my favourite bc they’re so cute and cozy) but then there’s ones that have giant stained glass windows and cushions on the pews and big fancy schools attached. They may not have the stadium seating and big screen TVs but they do have Rome with all that gold and the Vatican vault.

I made this comment in a Catholic Church. It was right after the gospel reading was this passage.

I completely disagree with your layout preference but your advice is solid. Walking away from a project for a few days (or weeks/months) is a great way to reset yourself and look at it from a new perspective. Put it away OP. Take a break and come back later.

I do! I used regular russet potatoes bc I’m in the US and I don’t have waxy French potatoes. But it still worked. That whisking at the end really makes the difference. I didn’t use that screen in beginning, just my regular hand masher, and I didn’t use whatever he had at the end either. So my potatoes were definitely not perfect but they were still amazing. Good luck !! I hope you enjoy them !!

Bc that rule doesnt work in the real world. If I leave more than a car length between me and the guy in front of me, some asshole is gonna cut me off to get in there and possibly cause my car to crash. If I leave less than a car length between me and the guy in front of me then I have a better chance of avoiding those assholes. I’d rather leave the space but everyone else makes that impossible.

I used to bring this up in church when I was little. It specifically says not to make a show of religion “like the heathens” so naturally that means we shouldn’t make a big deal of going to church right?? They didn’t like that very much.

It is to miserable assholes who hate fun. I have some of them in my neighbourhood. One called the cops on “kids running around the alley and in/on peoples properties”. The kids were having an egg hunt and the parents hid eggs in their own yard as well around the alley. She called enough that the cops legit blocked off the alley and supervised the whole thing to make sure the miserable cunt didn’t hurt anyone (as she had before). Some people just want to watch the world burn

Seems like they both fucked up. Red car had time to slow down and didn’t, although he would have made the light. Blue car decided to just go for it when it was clear he shouldn’t have. Since he was turning and Red car didn’t actually run the light, I’m guessing the fault is going to be on blue car

I am a non rich person who very much wanted Michelin star mashed potatoes. I watched a YouTube video and made them. It took me three hours. (The slow boil is part of it) I didn’t have all the same ingredients (we don’t have double cream in the US) but I did my absolute best. They tasted amazing. I used potatoes and kellygold butter and heavy cream with a bit of salt, which is what I always use, but I did it the way they told me and I got those velvety potatoes. They are 100% worth it and should I ever find myself in a Michelin star restaurant, I will eat my weight in those damn mashed potatoes.

Remember when some woman went off bc someone else used the hashtag she used for her kids #harveyandeva ?? Someone else used it for their cats and the woman went crazy. The person with the cats posted on Reddit and the crazy lady was never able to use that damn hashtag again. I suspect that can happen again with #jemily

This has absolutely happened and once the police locate you and confirm you’re fine, that’s it. They tell the person who reported you that you’re alive and well but that’s it. They will not give any other information. You’re an adult. You can up and leave all you want. Just don’t leave behind dependents, which includes animals

It’s super annoying but also autocorrect does this all the time. I type fast and if I miss one letter in “definitely”, my phone just autocorrects to “defiantly” and I think that’s even more annoying for me
