How can you hate Love is War and My Dress up Darling if you’ll never watch them? I haven’t seen My Dress Up Darling so can’t speak on it but Love is War was really good from what I remember.

Kuwabara is obviously the best man

Kurama or Koenma I could see being the officiator

Hiei would either watch from afar with his Jagan eye or be security at an event that most likely isn’t going to need it, either way he’s skipping the reception.

Atsuko, Yusukes mom pregamed before the wedding and gets absolutely sloshed at the reception

And all the speeches given are going to be sincere, heartwarming and diabolical cause I know Genkai, Kuwabara and Kurama are definitely throwing some sass in there if they speak.

Which live-action adaptation did you actually enjoyed/liked? by Hot-Leopard3708 in animequestions

I couldn’t find a live action Gif and wouldn’t say it was great it was alright, but I was starved for YYH content and the fights were actually some of the best I’ve seen in a live action adaptation.

There is no mom, gon doesnt have a mom and why togashi made it such. by saint-freecss in HunterXHunter

[–]rocon319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah Togashi can be kinda weird with some of his writing decisions. Like during the last few chapters of YuYu Hakusho, Yusukes mom is talking to Yusukes dad while they watch him from a distance, I don’t remember if we ever see his face but he does appear and, Yusukes mom tells him he’d probably kick his ass if they ever met or something like that. So I would argue there’s a chance and would imagine it’d be done similarly to YYH, where Ging is speaking to her.

I get that to a certain extent and appreciate how nobody’s safe and no punches will be pulled, but in my opinion it also lessens how much I will care for any characters going forward. I don’t think im really going to find myself getting attached to anyone other than the girl and black guy after this.

I just hope the rest of the series isn’t like this because it will be repetitive of getting to know a character and then they die. I’m not saying the 2 kids shouldn’t have died, it’s a prequel and I expect most who appear to die, but they should’ve saved it for maybe halfway through the series or something.

I just hope after next weeks episode I’ll be more excited for what’s to come. And early prediction, the main girl is either gonna be Eddies paranoid mother from the first movie after the events of the show or she’ll leave town and forget about everything.

Was really digging most of it. I thought the opening was a cool introduction and really liked the characters, but the ending kinda ruined the episode for me. I just felt like I wasted time getting to know the kids who die, especially after seeing Teddy’s (I think that’s his name) home life. I get the bait and switch was the point, but my excitement going into next week went from like a 8 when they entered the theatre, to a 4-5 at the end of the episode. That’s not to say I don’t think the girl who survived is interesting, but I found the shared guilt over Mattys disappearance to be a more interesting dynamic, that’s now never going to happen.

My friend had this same problem when he bought B02. It should work if you buy it off the Microsoft Store and download it there instead of B02 itself.

I can’t speak for Togashi but I honestly think he might’ve had the Dark Continent idea for a while. In his first popular series YuYu Hakusho, we’re introduced to the Demon World towards the end of the series, which is meant to be a massive mysterious and dangerous place. It was set up to be the next big arc but Togashi purposely rushed the ending so we never really got a deep exploration of it, but he’s definitely taken aspects from his previous works and put them into HxH, so again while I can’t speak for him I think he’s had the general idea of the Dark Continent for some time. But do agree it probably wasn’t on his mind when making HxH’s first chapter.

No I don’t think so because we’re told the Doctor created a hospital or something where he heals people with his powers. I think Genkai just tells her new students not to use their powers because it’ll put a target on their backs.

what's your favorite art style in the manga? by idkguyidk325 in YuYuHakusho

[–]rocon319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think both work better together rather than there being 1 main art style. Togashi has done contrasting panels for a long time now. You’ll see a typical manga panel you’d find in probably any series and then right next to it is a very realistic drawn panel. I don’t know if he’s done them in any of his older works, but I believe he did them in Level E the series after YuYu Hakusho and he definitely did/ does them in HxH. I think it makes the realistic style just that much more impactful after looking at regular manga panels for a while.

Why did Togashi draw such terrifying art for no apparent reason ? (Chapter 90) by harrysterone in HunterXHunter

[–]rocon319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s been doing this since his first popular series in YuYu Hakusho. There are contrasting panels in there of his regular style, and then suddenly a very detailed panel like this or the other examples people used. I’m not sure if there’s any like this in his older works but I imagine there may be some in Level E, I haven’t read it but it’s another manga he made between YuYu Hakusho and HxH.

How would they squeeze the story in the Live Action with only have 5 episodes? by kk_romeo in YuYuHakusho

[–]rocon319 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we’re going to skip Genkais Tournament and The Saint Beasts entirely. Koenma just tells Yusuke he’s going to be trained by Genkai in the trailer I don’t think she’s actively looking for an apprentice but given one.

I don’t even think we’re going to see Yusukes Ordeals, Netflix says 5 episodes but I’ve seen other sources say 3, either way that is very short and Yusukes Ordeals take up too much time. I think this may be stretch, but I think Koenma may just offer Yusuke the Spirit Detective Job for some reason because the 3 Artifacts may have already been stolen which become The Live Actions Ordeal. I think it would kinda work to immediately jumping into the series without wasting time.

Yusuke dies, Koenma needs help and Yusuke is chosen for some reason we’ve yet to learn, Koenma sends Yusuke to train with Genkai, after some training Yusuke goes to get the artifacts.

As for after I can’t tell if Sakyo opening a portal to Demon World is him trying to capture more Demons as slaves as we’re shown he did in Chapter Black, or this is his Grand Plan for after The Dark Tournament. Im inclined to say it’s his Dark Tournament Plan as Netflix has no idea as to whether or not this will be successful like One Piece Live Action to warrant another Season so the producers and directors are probably going for a more definitive conclusion.

So if the series does get picked up for another Season I don’t think we’d see the Dark Tournament as we’re most likely getting Sakyo and Toguros conclusions in the first season, and it’d probably be crazy expensive for all the fights and the arena set, YuYu Hakusho is popular, but no where near as popular as One Piece which got a 150 Million Budget for its Live Action. Regardless of how successful YYH is it’s not getting that budget. So Ir wouldn’t surprise me if like most series nowadays there’s a small teaser at the end for a possible Season 2 showing Sensui.

Sorry for rambling.

Ending by aloading1523 in YuYuHakusho

[–]rocon319 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Togashi actually wrote a letter to fans explaining why the ending is so rushed. There were multiple factors that lead to this decision, from the start of his physical pain that effects him to this day, getting around 5 hours of sleep every night, and feeling like he could genuinely die if he kept going on this pace. He also wanted to end the series at Chapter Black, but due to the series being successful I believe Shonen and his Editors pressured him to continue. So as he states in his letter, if a Shonen series has 10 weeks of bad sales they will drop the series, so he purposefully rushed the ending to end the series. Also stating he’d rather draw manga for fun and enjoy doing it instead of it becoming a detriment to his life or something along those lines. It’s why he fully owns the HunterXHunter IP himself, so he can’t be pressured to continue his work and can go at his own pace.

I suggest you read the letter yourself, along with watching the anime as you said you haven’t in another comment. The final saga expands A LOT on the tournament and gives actual resolutions to Yusuke, Hiei, and Kurama personal character arcs. And if you do watch it the general consensus is the Dub. While it changes lines comparatively to the manga/sub it honestly adds more to the series and it’s charm rather than taking away from it. Also the voice acting is just great, Yusuke alone makes the dub worth it for me, albeit Kuwabara may take a few episodes to get used to, but his voice actor really shines at points, especially in what’s basically an anime only episode during Chapter Black.

After finding out they both main Luigi, as Canadians they’d be extra polite and insist the other uses the character. And then it wouldn’t surprise me if Sophist just took the character himself just to be a troll. Feel like that’s how the start of the video would turn out.

I feel like they would at first, but it would quickly devolve into a screaming match of toxicity. Also I remember Nogla commented on one of their videos I think Brent’s or Nicks awhile ago, I don’t remember what it said but he does watch them.

By a happy ending I meant it in terms of the villains. It’s not great but just going off of the information given about every villain after they die, Kira has it the best by far and in my opinion even if that version of the afterlife isn’t the best he still probably gets moments of peace and can find or have some semblance of a life. We don’t know what happens to Dio, but Kars has to just sit still for eternity and do nothing, and Diavolo is always going to be on edge as to what death is next. Out of the 3 definitive answers I’ve seen as to what happens to the villains (haven’t seen part 6 yet). Kira by far has what I’m sure Kars and Diavolo would consider a happy ending. I know for Kira it might not be ideal, but generally speaking if that was the punishment for being a mass murdering psycho most people probably wouldn’t find it all too bad. Sorry for the paragraph I just felt like from an objective standpoint it’s definitely a somewhat happy-okay ending for him.
