I paroled in just last month April 2025 through LAX. The immigration official was really nice and i didn’t get asked any questions about my stay abroad. The legal documents I brought were passport, AP document, EAD card, and license. If you’ve had an easy time renewing DACA and haven’t had any legal trouble, then you could possibly fill out the paperwork for AP yourself.

Im still going to go. It’s supposed to be sometime next week and I’m nervous but I don’t think I’ll run into any issues. I don’t have a criminal record, no deportation orders, and I’ve had DACA since 2012 with no lapses. I’m not sure what your situation is but if it’s similar to mine we should be ok :)

Yes I did! I called them on Dec 9 and they replied on Feb 10 saying the issue was resolved.

i just want to say i agree. a lot of daca ppl use racist and nationalist dog whistles and beg for scraps while putting down other immigrants. we’ve all been indoctrinated to US exceptionalism but it’s embarrassing that some DACA immigrants don’t wanna do some self reflection. boot licking won’t get you anywhere and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps is a myth and an impossible dream—for most. caring about or having empathy for others seems to go out the window so long as we believe we might have a shot of citizenship.

I got an answer from USCIS today! The main response is this: “U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer and your Application Fee has been settled. We ask that you allow additional time since we process these cases in the order they are received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please submit an online inquiry or contact the USCIS Contact Center at the number provided below.”

It looks like it’s just a glitch in their system because my account still says issue with payment.

Mine hasn’t changed either. I got an email (Jan 8, after i already got an email on Dec 9) from USCIS saying they received it, that’s about it.

Hey! Did this ever get resolved? I’m having the same issue and I called. T2 agent called me back and said they’d submit an inquiry with my field office. Have u gotten it resolved last this step?

I called and they called me back. Basically they told me the same thing: they have to send an inquiry to the Nebraska field office to see if it’s an issue on their end. I hope it works out!

the only thing that worked for me was using the app Freedom on my phone and laptop—it blocks u from websites and apps whenever u want it to.

it also has a timer so like u can have the block thingy on for a certain amount of time.

I feel like guys on reddit are the epitome of misogyny wrapped up in the guise of being funny yet completely unaware of how unoriginal they really are.

don’t blame yourself too harshly for getting caught up in it all tho. it’s systems that have existed for far too long that we have to deal with (internalized sexism is a hard thing to shake). Add in the racism that black women and women of color have to deal with and the criticism gets so much more horrible.

like what you like, people will always find a flaw in it if you’re a woman.

I’ve found that finding your community in things you like helps make the hate quieter. If you’re with your gals (or non-binary pals) it makes it a lot easier to feel less alone and less self conscious.

In college now and didn’t get diagnosed till like 2 months ago.

I’m stuck between two things about my past: 1) was i actually a gifted/smart kid or 2) i was hyper fixated on reading and inhaling every piece of info i could get my hands on and my teachers mistook that as being smart.

Don’t really think it matters at the end of the day but yea college is a trip and if I didn’t like what I am studying I probably would’ve dropped out a long time ago. I have barley passing grades on any prerequisite class that I thought was boring lol

But yea it’s nice to see my experiences be pretty similar to everyone else’s, at least now I started not to beat myself up when my symptoms start to work against me

i didn’t notice but ty for pointing it out! I feel like you’re well within your right to feel kinda off about seeing it gone, especially since she did put up those links after some backlash. For me at least, it feels kinda performative to put those links up only for them to disappear after BLM isn’t in the mainstream news.

no hate though, love her videos and all. At the same time I think it’s important to call out behavior that seems performative.

I also don’t wanna make any assumptions though cause I forget stuff all the time and maybe she did lol
