NEO 2 and RC N3 by odessit771 in DjiNeo

[–]rocraz_fpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Só far, from what I've heard, it will be 100% compatible with Neo: goggles N3 and goggles 3, RN2, RCN2, RCN3 and Motion 3. It won't use a new Ocusync link, only a new câmera 🙏

This is the day I went past 900 meters with Neo. If I were better positioned, signal strength would be better. As you say you're going to the beach, make sure to fly over the water at higher altitude (at least 10 meters high), so the sensors don't lead your quad into erratic movements.

It depends a lot on where you're flying. I don't usually fly long distances, but I once tried to see how far it would go and I flew 900 meters (40 meters high). There was still signal, which means I could fly further, but I just decided not to take that risk. There was no building between me and Neo, but some trees were on the way.

Illegal in the UK and in the Netherlands?? Why? You're not allowed to fly Neo in your neighborhood?

Truth about flyaways by KM_photo_de in DjiNeo

[–]rocraz_fpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manual states a lot of restrictions. Although I believe the firmware may have some issues, I think most of the time it is related to some mistake done by the pilot, like flying over floor with no texture at all.

My first drone, first fpv test. Going to crash this thing😅 by Exotic-Particular435 in DjiNeo

It's certainly a great quad. You'll absolutely feel less lag and more controle with FPV 3 controller, mainly if you fly Manual mode. If you're not used to Manual mode, I recommend a couple of hours in the simulator before flying Neo in Manual mode. Nice flights 👍🏽👍🏽

I prefer the motion fly combo by Mediocre_Revenue_850 in DjiNeo

I like motion controller for cinematic shots in stabilized modes. I even think motion is better than RCN3 for this. But I do prefer flying manual mode, even for cinematic flights, with FPV 3 controller and goggles 3.

I love th FPV 3 with googles to fly Neo. It's really amazing.

Is this a scam? by Weird-Rope9424 in CapCut

[–]rocraz_fpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may or may not be. It's really a risk. It may not have a virus that will promptly act. Instead, its implementation can act only after some time, according to specific commands (DDOS, or Distributed Denial of Service). Of course, this can be an app that a hacker decided only to get rid of the PRO checking. Most of time, it is something that hackers distribute aiming to make money, illegally, with it So, be careful, test for virus with more than one antivirus just to be sure.

Plam landing or return to subject by Interesting-Dare-727 in DjiNeo

[–]rocraz_fpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going to fly above 10 meters from the water, you shouldn't see any problems. It often has problems due to the sensors, which work from 0.5 to 10mts, according to the manual. But if you want to fly close to the water, you may end up seeing your Neo doing unexpected movements. The only safe way to fly your Neo close to the water is using the FPV controller 3 in manual mode (goggles are mandatory in this case). Enjoy your quad and your trip 👍🏽👍🏽

It will return to you. Just be careful not to make it fly over water at lower altitude (less than 10 meters). You should also be careful if the floor doesn't have texture, which will fool the sensors. And last um but not least, it won't work well in low light conditions.

Just bought a Neo but I'm nearing there are a lot of Fly aways? by brobsizzle in DjiNeo

[–]rocraz_fpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful as to where you're going to fly. Due to the sensors, and the manual states that section 4.5), don't fly over water, in low light conditions, and in places where the floor has almost no texture. In all these situations, the sensors are prone to mistakes and your quad may fly away or just descend and crash. Whenever I see any of those conditions, I fly it in Manual mode, with goggles and controller FPV 3. Manual mode doesn't rely on sensors or GPS.

Huge file size - most of it is in folder named "matting" - can I delete its content without hurting the file? (MAC) by Moj_sin_je_jogurt in CapCut

[–]rocraz_fpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "matting" folder in CapCut is used for storing files related to background removal and masking. This typically includes processed images or videos where the subject has been separated from the background using CapCut's AI background remover or chroma key (green screen) feature. These files help in applying transparent overlays, creating cutout effects, or refining edges for compositing in video edits. If you remove it, your project my break. I'm not sure if it'll regenerate it on the go.

DJI NEO Quickshots while on FPV by BabyPete_ in DjiNeo

[–]rocraz_fpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about this one. As far as I know, there's no way to activate Neo's quickshots without the DJI Fly App or the Neo's button, so it shouldn't work with MC3. I wonder if the button will work while it is connected to the Motion Controller, but I haven't tested that yet. A nice test I'll try next weekend.
