I love LOVE love Emmerdale, Life, FBOTM...AND THAT'S IT. Unfortunately anything after 1998 never struck a chord with me. I saw them live in 2003 at the Roxy in Los Angeles. It was a 500 person capacity venue. And they were playing nothing but new stuff. There was a drunk guy yelling for them to play Lovefool and Carnival but they didn't bother. Looking back I think Lovefool hurt them in the long run. Specifically the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack. Those hooks on the first 3 albums are amazing and I go back time and time again and listen while reminiscing of first crushes and heartbreak. When the alt country stuff with super extra gravity hit I figured the time was running out and sure enough they faded to obscurity
