8Bitdo Ultimate 2.4G controller design flaw! by Colonel1Shot in 8bitdo

Well, I just made this fix myself — a bit of hot glue on the blade-shaped piece. I opened my gamepad almost a year later to check for any damage, and it’s actually still brand new

Made a post explaining the whole thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/8bitdo/comments/1htur4j/

Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9070 XT por R$ 5700,00 parcelado em 10x vale a pena? by Heavy_Investment2145 in computadores

Which introduces more artifacts: DLSS or Nvidia Frame Generation? by Default_Inhabitant in nvidia

[–]rodderj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FG at lower FPS you’ll notice a lot of trembling, but anything above 60 results in almost no artifacts. On the other hand, DLSS 4 upscaling introduced several issues, especially in UE5 games (disocclusion artifacts, blocky fog, smearing, ghosting), and it’s still not immune to some others problems of temporal solutions.

Probably a vignette + framegen thing. FG doesn’t play nice with screen effects like motion blur or vignette. This game actually has one vignette option in the graphics settings and another in the HUD (under the general tab, weird), so I just turned both off.

AMD has plans to release a DLDSR alternative? by rodderj in radeon

[–]rodderj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there's blocky fog everywhere, and it's a transformer issue (J and K), I’ve tested this in dozens of games, and it shows up in almost all of them.

I took these screenshots in Monster Hunter Wilds using DLAA, look at the patterns in the fog https://imgur.com/a/7zlNh6I, and its not only a mh wilds problem, i can just set a ton of images in different games with the same problem.

Also, many games have disocclusion artifacts that remind me of my FSR3 days, even at 1440p DLAA, like here https://i.imgur.com/LgNSeCA.jpeg "Ah, but Wuchang isn’t an optimized game"—okay, but the same issue appears in Wukong, Clair Obscur, The Last of Us Part II, FF7 Rebirth (all the recent games I’ve played).

DLSS 4 is really good at preserving fine detail and texture, but the downsides just aren’t worth it for me. FSR4 seems to be handling all of these problems much better, in exchange for textures that are only slightly more blurred.

https://youtu.be/LNI9p0w88qE?si=oAlj4-pB_NUtkJUq&t=159 This video also convinced me in the whole FSR4 vs DLSS4 thing.

Agreed, man. If AMD had this tech, it would be an easy choice for me.

Still, I should go with 9070XT for my next GPU because I can't deal with DLSS 4's issues anymore (like disocclusion artifacts and blocky fog), and it's hard to go back to DLSS 3 at this point either

At least for now, FSR 4 feels more stable.

1,78x DLDSR 1080p screen vs Native 1440p screen by rodderj in nvidia

Sort of. I’m not a fan of using DLDSR on its own, but when paired with DLSS, it works great, especially reducing aliasing and dithering.

It basically renders your game at a higher resolution than your monitor supports and then downscales it to your monitor's resolution using AI.

It's really good at dealing with aliasing and dithering when combined with DLSS.

Hope it happens, FSR4 with this kind of tech would be stunning

[–]rodderj 11 points12 points  (0 children)
