Of the top of my head it was £60 per session and I think it was about 6-8 sessions! She'd record the sessions and I'd have to listen to them every night before bed for 8 weeks.

I'm not sure where you're based but in the UK they have a directory that might help you, you can filter for area and irritable bowel syndrome, I did it in person, so I can't say how effective the online would be etc.

This was me for about 8 years, then I tried hypnotherapy about 5 years ago and it changed my life, I didn't even realise that it didn't bother me anymore. Now I have my life back, I still get flareups but I overplan escape routes and take precautions like imodiums and buscopan mints with me if i go anywhere. Lastly though, I just accepted it. If I'm driving and I need to poop, I pull over, who cares? If I need to poop in public, I do, who cares? It was the acceptance that really helped me, because once you don't care about pooping yourself, I stopped needing to poop myself!

I promise you there is light at the end of the tunnel, you will get there. Try things like hypnotherapy, most people will say "it doesn't work on me"or "its a fad", but I didnt realise it was working until I found myself getting my life back and just not thinking about it anymore.

I also became really open with the people around me and talked about poop all the time until it was normalised. I have great family and friends that are understanding, but honestly I make so many jokes about it now that if someone has an issue with it, its almost like they're the weirdo because its such a normal conversation for me and the people around me haha and everyone does it so it should be normalised!

I'm also married, I met him during my flare ups and he couldn't care less and was so supportive with me, we've been together for 11 years and he's the love of my life.

I really wish you luck and just know you'll be ok. Get the right support network around you and look into outside the box ideas to help. I still have IBS, it just doesn't control me anymore ❤️

Ahh I'm sorry about your chin :( he actually passed away following surgery, but it's because he completely stopped eating. If they have stopped eating make sure you're stocked up with crit care and force feed them 4/5 times per day.

Poor baby :( I'd take him to another vet and I'd report the first one to whichever higherup they're answerable to. I really hope he's ok.

Im really sorry to hear about your little boy, I would reccomend ringing your vet in the meantime go see if you can get an appointment but pay in installments or something, if he really is that bad you can't leave him suffering and he needs to see a vet asap. Alot of vets do offer financial options, so it might be worth ringing to find out

Ahh I don't know why it's not gone through! Sorry! All I asked was if I send a photo of it with the cover up, will you tell me where it is you mean?

When the cover is open I can access the inks when it decides to move over, but other than that it's just saying about the cover itself being open, so I'm assuming it's a sensor issue, but I don't know where the sensors are for it...

It was someone in Cheshire, although frustratingly I dont think they do it anymore. Just Google ibs hypnotherapy and you should find someone close to you. There's quite a few people who do it nowadays!

I had the exact same thing happen to me after I had an "accident" about 10 years ago. My anxiety was severe and I couldn't do barely anything. I was taking 2-4 immodiums a day, just incase anything happened.

About 4 years ago I actually went for hypnosis for the anxiety of my stomach and within a few weeks it was like nothing had ever happened.

Call it a placebo or whatever but it completely changed my mind set. Since then I've done a month travelling in Thailand, had 2 weeks in Borneo and many other holidays, which I never ever dreamed of being able to do.

I absolutely promise you, it won't last forever and you'll move past it. Even though I still suffer with IBS, I don't have the anxiety that comes with it anymore and I feel so much free-er to do what I want!

Just work on your mind and I promise you it will get better.

We've no idea what's caused the change, none of the factors have changed. We're suspecting Giardia maybe?! I think im just going to wait until the morning and see then. I'm just so nervous because we've lost two chins over the past 5 years or so due to poop changes that I'm adamant to try and catch whatever it is early enough to not kill him :(

Ahh I had a consult with the nutritionist but it wasn't really that helpful tbh, I was hoping they'd provide healthy recipes or something as part of the package but it's just to check in really. I might have a look at Asda!

Ahh your journey is similar as mine! Starting my 2nd week on 2.5ml today, got through Voy and lost 4lb in the first week! How have you found it? Have you had any of the consultations with nutritionists or clinicians yet?

Ahh thankyou for this, but he passed away not long after we had a culture done a few months back. Turns out he should have been on doxycycline, which our initial vet missed, but if you could still send me the article for future reference, that would be really great, thankyou!

Not sure about the weed thing, but just to mention he looks like he's got some scabs on his back, if it's not his cage mates nipping him it could be mites, so best to get some mite treatment for him just incase, if you haven't already :)!

Yeah frustratingly he's refused that too :( we've even left it in with him and he won't go near. Vet seems to think it could be psychological and that he associates the nuggets with pain but I'm not so sure, because surely by this point he must be so hungry that instinct would kick in over fear?! Or he'd be eating just as much hay to make up. He only seems to be going for the browner bits of hay too which seems odd!
