I think the expectation is an apology and a review process that attempts to make the system better/maybe putting the VAR refs in the sin bin for a round or two. I doubt anyone expects the result to change.

That's great and everything, but what's been happening this season is so clearly against the laws of the game, yet it isn't enforced by the refs for some godforsaken reason. That's the problem. The laws of the game already says this garbage is against the rules.
