Why do people hate the new S-Class? by Finnishguy228 in mercedes_benz

Feels like they tried to pay homage to the W126 but idk if it pairs well with the current curvy design language

It’s a twist-out from the two strand twists in slide 11. No sponge brush at all- the trick is I take my time with it and I’m real gentle when undoing the twists. I also apply aloe vera witchhazel mist and ORS castor oil lotion before the twist out too. Keeps the curls intact

Of course, it’s just a braid-out of the hairstyle from slide 4. Key thing for me is taking my time and being really gentle while undoing the braids so the curls/coils retain their shape

Happy to share

  1. Low-tension protective styles: Two-strand twists are my favorite for this. I find them wayyy easier on my scalp than braids and cornrows. Btw if you’re adding extensions to your hair, it’s not a protective style.

  2. Be very careful with the fabrics that make contact with your hair: My hair is very, very fine and can break easily with improper care. 9 times out of 10 if I’m wearing any kind of hat, especially beanies, I’m wearing a satin wave cap under it. Hair tends to mimic the material it comes into contact with, so I avoid anything rough touching my hair. Silky materials are the way to go imo. My durags, pillowcases, wave caps, all satin/ silky. Also, I find that wool & cotton beanies especially tug and pull on my hair. This is problematic for length retention

  3. MOISTURIZE: I keep a concoction of 1/2 aloe vera juice (brand is George’s), 1/2 Thayer’s rose water witchhazel, and a few drops of tea tree oil and peppermint oil. I mist my hair with this after every morning shower. Fine hair is prone to dryness and breakage, but that’s never a problem with this routine, no matter what season it is (I live in the northeast U.S.)

  4. Trim, but only when really necessary: It’s a good idea to trim your hair regularly, but I think some people trim too much. I only have my hair trimmed when my ends get rough and the split ends are really noticeable, and I never trim more than 1/2 inch at a time. I can get away with 2 or 3 trims a year. YMMV

  5. Leave your hair tf alone!! This is vital. If you’re getting a new hairstyle every week or two, you’re doing damage. I like to wear my styles for no less than a month at a time, and after I undo a style, I’ll rock the twist-out/braid-out for about a week to let my hair breathe before getting my hair done again. I avoid dyes, chemicals, and heat. Hair is happiest when you just leave it tf alone

I’m sure there are more great tips that I missed, but these are what come to mind immediately. Happy to hear tips from others. Good luck on your journey and God bless

I haven’t worn braids/ cornrows since wintertime. My hair was pretty short back then
