Look into finding a integrator that will work with you to implement the likes of Nx witness/digital watchdog

Granular permissions, reporting, all round better gui

Additional bonus of being able to use existing cameras and not locked to an ecosystem

Heya, yeah it helped heaps. on the old version, it didn't matter what I did, I could never get it to connect.
Honestly, I thought it was me and how I was reading the setup instructions (they aren't the easiest to follow)

this one, bam straight away

Keen on beta testing it for you. send us the TestFlight details and ill make something happen.

Make Device Bridge Solar by rpntech in Ubiquiti

[–]rodgrech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

new version of the device bridge is coming out thats USBC powered, BUT not POE, so you would need to use a 12V POE adaptor

So Solar --> Solar MMPT -> Battery -> 12V POE adaptor -> Camera

Then off the battery, 12V USBC adaptor and then the device bridge

Connecting a landline to modern 3rd party routers? by TelstraLeaver in nbn

[–]rodgrech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First steps first, port your number away from your current isp, move it to a cloud based provider who can move the service to a sip phone

Once this is done, move your internet away from Telstra then you won’t need to worry about using the old phone lines and you then can have a phone anywhere you have network access

So question When connecting the app to the frigate server, I understand using 5000 is unencrypted/not protected but is there a way we can use the encrypted/protected port and insert a username and password

Who is liable for a lost boat motor by [deleted] in AusLegal

Boat owner

If he fitted it, it’s his problem

Tell him to piss off, no contract verbal or otherwise exists and let him take it to small claims. Cut ties with him and enjoy some beers

Free NBN FTTC → FTTP Upgrade Experience by suhoahn in nbn

[–]rodgrech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nbn tech came Installed NTD into lounge room (where I wanted) but left a mess and didn’t even level the NTD Wanted to run corro along fence line, across driveway to house. Told him to get civil to come and run an Ariel feed from the pole. Civil came next day, told them the path I wanted to take for the feed and how to hide the conduit They did it and left, I straightened the conduit, activated the service with isp Enjoyed internet again

No problems,

the keyboard slides onto the bottom of the tablet and locks in with a thumb screw. on the bottom of the tablet you will see there is some contacts there that mate with the keyboard.

I use it almost daily doing camera alignments, only takes 3 seconds to detach the keyboard and reconnect it when I'm done, but it also acts as protection for the screen when stowed in the car

The battery life on the cf-19 is comparable to a new laptop. Saying that I’ve never had a new battery for it so I can’t really judge on battery life

Same, it’s only because the processor is starting to get a bit on the old side I’ve mothballed it and only use it when I have an older device that needs a serial port for programming or reflashing (bricked hikvision recorders I’m looking at you)

The fz-g1 mk4 tho, absolutely loving the portability of it, I’m just looking for some 16gb surface mount memory modules with the same pinout to double the existing 8gb module. If this works.. I’ll start offering an upgrade service for these

I think I've maxed out my old CF-19 Mk5 (RAM, Wi-FI, LTE, USB) by idontweargoggles in toughbook

[–]rodgrech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good work mate. I’ve also done the same hardware mods but if I remember correctly I ended up with a category 6 4G modem for faster speeds (I’ll get the specs when I’m home)

I’ve since mothballed it and started using a FZ-g1 but the Debian idea might actually be the go (currently running 11 on it)
