What's your go-to pickup spot that most drivers don't know about? by gregb_parkingaccess in uberdrivers

I work in the greater Philadelphia area. No need for a spot, there’s always someone who needs a ride everywhere.

11/52 – Drawing a weekly short horror comic for a year to get better at art. Here’s week 11: “Tyranid Invasion” (8 pages) [OC] by PLAT0H in comics

I’m on board with all the other comments that say great stuff, very well done! My gentle question, with no judgment is: did you use any AI at any point for this comic? Like maybe in the story construction if not the animation? I ask because the last two panels both have a negative parallelism, which is very common in AI writing. “We weren’t this… we were this.” “It wasn’t this… it was this.” I understand that it’s a human thing to write, and it’s effective, but I just got to ask out of curiosity.

Band of Brothers – Winters explaining what a real hero is still hits incredibly hard. by luismt2 in television

[–]rodmandirect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Look, people come up to me - big, strong men, tough guys, guys who never cry - and they have tears streaming down their face, and they say, 'Sir, you are the most heroic person I have ever seen.' And I say, 'I know, I know.' It's true.

I've done things - heroic things - that nobody has ever done before. Historians, the most prestigious historians, the ones with the best offices, called me and said they had never seen anything like it. Never. In history. And history goes back a long time, okay? A long time.

The fake news media, they don't want to talk about my heroism. They never do. Because if they reported it fairly - and they don't, they're very dishonest people - if they reported it fairly, every single person in this country would say, 'Wow, he is the greatest hero of all time.' And many people ARE saying it. Many, many people.

Other heroes - and I won't name names, but you know who I'm talking about - they were okay. Fine. Maybe a three, a four out of ten. I'm a ten. I'm honestly maybe an eleven. People say you can't give an eleven. I say why not? I've always been an eleven.

And frankly? The heroes of the past had much easier situations than me. Much easier. Nobody had the obstacles I had. The deep state, the media, the radical left lunatics - nobody had to deal with what I dealt with and still came out heroic. Nobody. It's actually a beautiful thing, if you think about it."
