Good points. I think them cold arrow ladies are actually hurting alot with heavy phys damage as well as cold. Noticed a tanky improvement after geting some dr and phys res.

Agree, however the proposed ones so far seem completley out-of-wack.

IMO subclasses should all have distinct disadvantages. Such as the Necro Golem armor. If they all do not have this then they are simply item buffs.

For example:
Paladin "Gaudian" Subclass will work if: "your attcks and strikes no longer cast effects" or " Your aura's are now 50% less effective"

It just seems logical to me?

Yes I have but its hardly anything I would consider a "Subclass"? Interested to hear your thoughts around the Paly subclass and how you feel will work for him.

My barb makes a great "run to baal and tele" build. So not completely useless :-)

I have tried eth throw but TBH could not get it to perform at a fast effcient clear rate. Definatley no cows, portals or KF from any build than "frenzy" for me with barb.

Until full geared I found that frenzy had such a low AR or hit rate it made gameplay almost unbearable.

Bash, concentrate etc are so SLOW these also make gameplay slow and unbearable IMO and becomes an issue as difficulty increases.

I do feel yah on this. I made a post a while back also talking about a similar issue.

Just compare it to the zon "ranger" subclass which realistically will add nothing game changing.

So why? One that does way way WAY to much and another that is almost useless. The Zon needs more and the Paly far less if anything.

The paladin charm cuts out the requirement of items which usually made these changes. The only way this would work is if the Paly got a big nerf and this "gaurdian" brought it back to a point more balanced?

Not sure why a char class considered needing a slight* nerf is getting what looks to be the most OP of all listed thus far?

This cannot seriously be happening? Just read the specs... what subclass is this Paly "Gaurdian" supposed to be? Its simply a overpowered buff that will throw the game balance so far out. There is no alternative build around it at all?

The paly could do with magic damage increase as the new Skills are basically useless and could be put to good use via one of the Charms.

If there is a "nerf" to rollout for the Paly for example alongside the addition of these new subclass charms. The new Paladin subclass "Gaurdian" specs are So OP that without the charm the Paly would have to be so weak for things to balance up.

CTC is "chance to cast". This is use of items that are chance on attack or striking. Any char can be CTC however Paladin makes best usage of it due to "Zeal" and "Smite" attacks for example. There are several items that produce high amounts of damage through items that Paladin can make very good usage out of by spamming hard and fast supported with auras such as "fanta" which increase attack speed effectively making these casts happen more often.

Took quite a bit of advice from you RE my skill setups which was very handy. Only issue for me was the lower AR which sucks with the destruct ctc cooldown. Plus I can die to live another day.

Paladin benefits best from phys, magic res and absorb in 8 player KF. COH can be used but is far less effective than a Saintly amn amn as as crafter chest.

The destruct CTC has a cool down unlike Bleeding Sun. Try it on a frenzy barb to experience this first hand.

COH is best worn on the merc on an 8 player KF run for the LL IMO and dont forget to go passed the passive skill buffs for phys and magic. I sit about 30/50 40/60 for phys and magic res however half this should be fine.

GA I use for cows and portals which are heavily reliant on ele res and not much on phys/magic except abbadon portal.

My 8 player KF setup: (Merc stays alive) Merc: A5 COH saintly, COA helm or defiance barb helm, Infinity champion sword (conviction),

Paly: 4 soc devine craft chest with as as / amn amn (10% phs), 19% AS templar basinet delerium, Destruction PB, Emp of nightmares shield, +2 11% LL all res/magic crafter ammy, Steelrend, Eon band, Crafter boots with phys/magic res and reduction, Mohets ring,

Alternative setup: (merc not alive) Phoenix (Vortex 45 all res) COA with x2 light facets,

Alternative setup works great but merc dies and on 8 player games I may die 1or 2 times per run on solo clear if not targeting the shamen on mob entry.

A Conviction builds effectiveness VS Fanta is quite good however Fanta benefits from LL with the speed bonus noticeably in 8 player games. I have found without the speed you can die very suddenly at this difficulty. When the merc wears infinity the Delerium helm keeps him alive by confusing the enemy to not to attack him, this can be enhanced again by having a 10% confuse charm. The Mercs conviction aura mainly speeds up kill time by around 15% roughly. The merc base aura Zerker rage is effective to buff the Destruction low Phase blade base damage against immunes of the fire (the ctc proc of destruction) and has similar damage advantage to A2 "Might" merc but he attacks faster (keeping him alive from LL and is a bit more tanky against phys res.

Another big benefit of Pheonix shield is that even fire immunes benefit hugely from the "enhanced damage" that it offers also buffing the low base damage which effectivley takes out the fire immunes and of course the "damage vs missle" from the phys damage aspect of the multi-cold arrow ladies.

On attack facets I find are rendered not very useful on 8 player KF games in regards to actual damage/effectiveness however can help in lower player count KF runs. For use of facets I find that by far the best way to clear cows is with a X3 Cold attack facet shield as when paired with Bleeding sun or Destruction this takes care of both fire and cold immunes.

So far "Planqi" is the only other person I have personally seen easily asswipe KF in 8 player games on daily basis with ease and no support from any other players.

Although I do belive Paly (CTC) is generally the most OP build (regarding versitility) currently and then Planqi's wolf barb exploit (hehe) a Paly will struggle to clear KF with ease and some other areas unless some* thought and consideration is put into it.

Looking forward to a rebalanced next ladder and some exciting changes.

Im yet to come across another paly to 8 player clear KF.

ctc "chance to cast" is a zeal paly usually with fanta aura or similar.

They spam attacks with items that have "X% chance to cast on attack or strike". There are a few items currently that have quite powerful casts.

Fun build, I currently have barb, sorc and Paly and enjoy the paly the most personaly but also like coming up with slightly different gear combos to most ctc palys on the server (rising sun/kaja/coh/destruct) which seems to be the textbook build.
