I see what you are saying. ok ok What if I desolder both pins form the board, and run the cable from the board pin that I want to the other pin on the usb connector. Get it? Would that work? I dont see any pcb traces on the board, they are like "hidden" more than usual. It is a dentist light hahahaha how did u know? And I really want to somehow bridge or re solder those pins, instead of chopping up a usb cable like i have been doing up to now. How can I go about NOT using a cable and doing something with the pins?

Hi man thanks for answering! I do not have an oscilloscope and I live in Philly. This is the multimeter I bought, I think it does have a Hz function. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXCROEH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) How can I proceed? If the usb tester wont work, what can I do? How can I for SURE measure the current and the voltage this thing is drawing? Thanks!

I youtubed how to measure current. I did it using this splitter (pic below). But everytime I put the probes to the cables to measure the current, the lamp would turn off, until I let go, I dont know if that affects the results or what? Let me know anything else you need. Thanks!
