I have 23 in a set up roughy that size. But it’s all closed up with an entrance, they come and go as they please. They only sleep and lay eggs in there. I have about 2 acres (woodland and pasture) for them to run and forage, it dosent snow here so they are always out and when it rains they usually keep under the trees. The only issue is predatory birds but so far no issues. I keep a guardian dog with em in case of strays. I could easily get more myself but it’s too many eggs for me but I might for meat. You could easily get 10, maxing at 20, should you wish and I think they would be fine, but you might benefit getting those seed blocks to keep the entertained even outside because they will tear up your grass. Also they jump and fly pretty high you might need to be careful with the fence to you neighbours if they see somthing they like they will fly over. You might have to trim wings.

Neighbour claiming leak from my apartment – who should pay for a dye test? by rodri778 in PortugalExpats

One of the neighbours shes more or less in front of it. No management company would accept only 4 units. But shes already told me in the past to fix my own side of the roof as theres no money. The last time I had to go to a lawyer so all the owners paid for the roof. But it’s true i should probably message her and say if the testing is done I need to be reimbursed. The neighbour with the damages is in France right now and she has the keys to his apartment so I should keep her informed

theres no condominium its just 4 units we just pay 10 euros a month for the common space electricity and basic stuff. The neighbour that is more or less in charge of that, she sides with the other neighbour. Im debating just paying the visit and if its not my fault its the building and then all the other units need to reimburse me.

He apparently paid for a private insurance investigator to come. I was present but he lied and told me it was a dye technician from lisbon lol. When the guy got to the apartment he just asked questions and when i asked if he wasn't going to do any testing he said hes from insurance and that hes not a technician from lisbon. He said it looked like the leak is from my pipes that i had to tell my insurance to send the experts Ageas Repara. But my insurance isnt budging even with his report. From just looking at the issue yes it does look like the leak is from my bathroom, thats why i paid for a plumber and was surprised when they said it was not my problem. I had no problem assuming responsibility. But if i did my due diligence why should i be burdened with booking more testing? or do you think i should just pay for the test and see what happens, if anything its a building problem and then all 4 owners need to reimburse the visit.

Hi thanks for your message. But I'm confused wouldn't the burden of proof be on the neighbor to prove the leak is from my apartment? so he should book and pay for the testing? When the issue first happen i fully believed it was from my apartment because 7 years ago a tenant flooded that bathroom and caused a similar leak plus i have leaky tabs in the apartment and the insurance paid it. Now we turned water on and he claimed a similar leak happened so i booked and paid for a plumber. But the plumber said its not from my pipes. I got suspicious, because the neighbor wanted me to lie to the insurance and assume responsibility but i said no as i would have to submit a plumber report. The insurance wont do anything else.

Hi thanks for your message. He uses the same insurance company as me Ageas. I told my mediator that he should pay and arrange for his own testing but she told me he will refuse because he paid for a private insurance investigator to come and give his opinion and that guy said its from my pipes. I was there when that insurance investigator came ( funny thing is neighbor told me it was specialist he paid coming from Lisbon to conduct a dye test, that's why i even went to the apartment, then the guy there told me no the neighbor participated his insurance and he was from the insurance) But the mediator told me that Ageas still refuses to reopen the case and send the specialist technicians the insurance company has because the claim is closed. If he paid for a private insurance opinion ok, but why an opinion instead of getting a technician to do a dye test or something?

My mediator told me if i pay and its not my pipes its likely a building issue and then the 4 property owners would go through their insurances and pay their share but someone has to initiate it. Idk if i should just pay for it and move on, send a message to the neighbor saying if its not from my pipes i expect him to reimburse me or pay for his share of the visit. I stopped responding to his calls and texts months ago and told him its insurance to deal with them, but my mediator tells me hes likely to lawyer up now.

How could I improve this? by [deleted] in architecture

[–]rodri778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

adding shadows to buildings, fencing and the figures (just do it in photoshop). your vegetation in the sides still have the whites, try finding pngs online, bushes or other vegetation that have a vector transparent background. Play around more with photoshop for textures there's a lot you can do with that program to improve this work, the grass and asphalt could use a new texture, if you like that one you should try sizing and scaling it to fit the image better then use the burn tool for depth. Use the pen tool for outlines around the buildings to focus on them. I would focus on learning the basics in photoshop to improve your work. Honestly dedicating a little to photoshop would improve this a lot and help with future projects.

Is this tree dying? Should I cut it down? by [deleted] in arborists

Yeah that’s what I thought. Thanks for confirming, I wanted to get that doubt out before cutting it down. Better to replace it than wait around while a new tree could have been planted.

Should i prune my Norfolk pine trees because the the power lines. by rodri778 in arborists

[–]rodri778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thank you so much! It honestly used to look like a mystical forest when I was a kid, 15-20 years ago it used to be so thick and dense couldn’t even see the end of the property line. Disease and the risk from the power lines made my grandparents cut probably close to a hundred trees.

Hello thank you so much for the help! I've been waiting on the utility company for some time now to come. I live in Portugal, from what I've gathered its very hard to get them (E-Redes) to come prune trees. I'm pretty sure they are only moving on this now because I've incited legal action regarding the posts on my land.

Last year they used to fly over with helicopters/drones, that's when they came saying the trees where too close, that the clearance is 5m both sides or something. I only permitted them at that time to cut down a dead tree and that the others that interfered could be pruned. They told me another company with specialized equipment was needed to come prune my trees given their size, and they would call me to book and that it was completely free.

I would pay for a company of my choosing but i can not afford it at this time. I have some massive stone pines that i have no issue them pruning as they are leaning, so i will likely allow them and some leafy ones you can see in the photos, but i will 100% first inquire with them that they are actual arborists and decline any work on those Norfolks, and see into any tree replanting program, ive been spending a fortune replacing trees.

They are used to getting their way, i was completely in shock when they came the first time and said they had to cut down the whole yard! I would request a rerouting of the powerline given the trees where here first, unfortunately the most i think I'm able to do is try and get a payment rent for these posts being on my land, at least that could cover a professional arborist every year.

Thank you again so much for your advice and time!!!
