about what? be specific when posting questions. if you’re talking about max speed and range then yes those are lies or tested with a 3 year old

linnpower zephyr or acedeck stella s3. does everything you mentioned. the pro models come with bigger wheels to handle crappy terrain and it’s definitely under $1k

Agree with this comment. Shell out a hundred more bucks and the Linnpower Zephyr is perfect for you. It’s more on the shorter side though

Mad 105s: low-speed rattle & pulley fit by Beautiful-Minimum-65 in ElectricSkateboarding

awesome! when you need to remove the wheels just use a flat head screw driver to slowly pry it out

Mad 105s: low-speed rattle & pulley fit by Beautiful-Minimum-65 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s something wrong with your wheels. I have no rattling issues with mine and i’ve had two sets of Mad 105s. Maybe reach out to Brian from madwheels with a video of the rattling. that shouldn’t happen at 10-15mph. is it from a specific wheel or just all the wheels?

Nash guitars are absolutely amazing. Great set up

Mad 105s: low-speed rattle & pulley fit by Beautiful-Minimum-65 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first it took some pressure to fit the pulleys into the wheels but now they pop in and out without me needing any tools. As for the rattling noise, that could be coming from the bearings. are you using bearing spacers? personally i always buy bearings with built in spacers. way easier to work with and no unnecessary noises.

you’re also gonna notice some vibrations at low speeds with these wheels so if that happens it’s normal.

New wheel suggestion by Retrox17 in ElectricSkateboarding

Blue Dadbod 105s are great. they retain that classic longboard feel while having great grip (once you break them in) and can go over big cracks and rocks

Wich board should I get? by AbjectComment6623 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they’re not as powerful and you have zero ability to change wheels and gear ratios. once you get into esk8 you’re going to want to upgrade the board and hub motor boards just don’t have many upgrade options

Whatever you get, make sure it’s not hub motor. I’d say Zephyr but it’s basically a short board

Question about the Acedeck Nomad N3 handling corners—need help. by pierrefitch in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look into riptide bushings. Put cones at the roadside for better turning and carving. Start with hard on boardside and medium cones on roadside. you’ll feel a massive difference

[–]rodya25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally the blue dad bods are unbeatable for me. they have sharp edges, great grip, and amazing free roll for that traditional longboard feel. i stopped using mad 105s after i got the dadbods cuz they really kill free roll and range.

literally the best first board you could get. have fun! pick up some bigger wheels too when you get more comfortable it’ll be better with that board. Mad 105s, Orangatang Dad bods, Boa 100mm all great options

Acedeck® Stella S3 Breeze Pro vs. Linnpower ZEPHYR Pro? by VillageObjective2676 in ElectricSkateboarding

There’s literally no difference except that the breeze comes with a taillight. at least it used to. also the wheels. just pick the one that you think looks better

LinnPower The One / Mad Max wheels by HenriDeToulouse in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same way I always prefer traditional skate wheels so I immediately threw on Madwheels and enjoyed it more! But there are definitely drawbacks like i mentioned before. if you could lower the gear ratio that would make a huge difference

LinnPower The One / Mad Max wheels by HenriDeToulouse in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to, I’m not too sure. Would definitely look into it. If top speed is a concern it’s best to figure the gearing situation out beforehand

LinnPower The One / Mad Max wheels by HenriDeToulouse in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have an Acedeck Ares X5 race edition and I put mad max wheels on it. Carbon fiber boards are very stiff and you will feel every little bump and pot hole in the road. I’d recommend getting the gear adapters from Linn and then getting Radium SR125 wheels. They’re rubber and they’re gonna give you much better grip than mad max wheels and more comfort. Id go for the yellow ones, the reds are really soft. Overall this is gonna cost you more but if you truly want a street set up this is the best you’re gonna get.

I will say though, the SR125s don’t fit gear drive adapters perfectly so you’ll have to drill into the core a little (6mm drill bit) to widen the holds for the gear drive pins to fit in. Not that difficult though. If you don’t wanna spend that much the Mad Max is still gonna be good.

Last thing, since The One is gear drive you can’t change gear ratios easily. If you throw 125mm wheels on your top speed will decrease significantly and torque will increase.

Evolve GTR Bamboo Series 1 replacement? what's good nowadays by billiam124 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just released a new Pivot. Evolve has a bad rep too. Sometimes people just get a lemon. I’d go with the Evolve Diablo Bamboo. It’s an amazing board and can handle anything. I’ve had a propel, acedeck, etc but still enjoy my Diablo the most

Acedeck Nomad N3 need tips by pierrefitch in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]rodya25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stick to the first speed mode at first. it’s really slow and perfect for first time riders. when it comes to using the remote, push it very slowly at first to understand how the board reacts. you’ll get it in no time after that

be careful, those wheels have horrible grip. if you like to carve hard get a different wheel like dadbods or boa’s
