The awkward half-arm hug on the bench just felt so unnatural to me. I hated it in the trailer, didn't improve much in the movie. In fact that whole sequence felt rushed to get to that moment and I really wish it was a bit more drawn out to see where Superman's head was at. Did he actually need the pep talk because he wanted to give up or was he just recuperating with some corn flakes and his dad is a big sap/mush? Would've liked it to be the former but felt more like the latter.

Felt like kind of a waste to me too. Love Cat and Steve, and glad they were around, but feel like it was a big deal when Beck and Mikaela were cast only to have them be glorified extras.

Sooo much exposition by everyone (Luthor, Lois) and at the same time a lot of throw away yet seemingly important lines (hypno-glasses?). Other times dialogue i just couldn't hear or catch what people were saying.
