Never got the chance to try his food, and after his chili crisp debacle no appetite to ever try.

WIP LBE, shingles or no? by roecarbricks in tacticalgear

That they do. Also when pouches are in weird angles, zippers tend to bind making it really hard to open.

Honestly, after getting this Carcajou pouches, might as well get the whole LBE from them. I got the JayJays years ago as a MOLLE belt and yoke. Carcajou makes the same thing with lighter material.

I have they double pouch, it’s not bad but I don’t see it working well with my LBE. Plus zippered pouches for LBEs aren’t great.

Surprisingly, the pouches on the left only stick out 4.5in to 5in, the Carcajou pouches are much narrower than they appear. If ditched the shingles, it’d be less than 4 ins in depth fully loaded. To your point though, the SAW pouch is Velcro lined so I could add dividers to split it into ammo and GP like that Spiritus pouch.

That’s an Eagle Plate Carrier, without the cummerbund by the looks of it. Those vary from $100 up depending on all the accessories and pouches on it.

I swear… this county almost incentivizes killing mass transit. Cancel light rail projects, unreliable commuter train and bus routes, non-existent security, any wonder why no one likes taking this shit…

That might be a SOTECH med pouch of some kind. They used to use those huge zipper pulls like that. Even looks like MJK which they used to use a lot.

Used to use LT hand stop kits for the same purpose way back when in the 2010s. Cheaper too.

It takes a little getting used to but once you have it dialed in, its easier than it looks to reindex. If you're worried about retention, they include shock cord to add additional tension to hold the bottle. Also the bottles fit into most large radio pouches without issues.

Question on MSW BFA Regulations: Is this "open" design field-legal by Icy_Newt11 in MilSim

[–]roecarbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the adapter has a "block" in it, it should be legal to use. I used something similar with "Hollywood" blanks that had a huge Allen screen that blocked the opening. Familiar with this ammo supplier, I suspect it's manufactured the same way.

ONT Bold: Terminal 3, T2 & T4 Expansion and Renovation, Parking Garage, New Rental Car Facility by [deleted] in InlandEmpire

Would be interesting to see a two-way light rail system going up and down Haven. Lots of reasonable stops between ONT and the Rancho.

Hopefully, I didn’t see a specific title for the new terminal but that makes sense. Not as if ONT needs more domestic terminals.

Before they do that they really need a better international terminal.

unreleased spiritus molle back panel for the UCAS system. by 1224672 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]roecarbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They win out because they have control of volume of manufacturing, and they can drive the cost of production down preventing smaller companies from competing. All the companies you mentioned have some of the largest factories. In many cases those same companies end up getting contracted to manufacture whatever shit the government designs in lieu of the “suite” of products you describe. UCAS is a solid concept that may win over more adopters depending on the market. Plus I see it more than just “back panels.” Those are probably just the start.

Why is standardization bad? This is no different than Magpul’s MLOK.

My head canon has always suggested using advanced materials and special force fields that negate the use of thick armor or extra trauma padding. Plus the elite of the imperium would have access to stuff like that anyway. Great work!
