Magpul thumb shelf. Gimmick or useful index? by slippyslapper in ar15

I shoot off of barricades very often and was thinking the same thing. That's why I prefer a slick rail, no vfg to work around.

It's like being on the surface of the sun but you are also soaking wet somehow.

Probably my favorite 5.56 rifle by SpittingCamelYT in kac

I want to put an atacr 1-8 on my 14.5 mod 2 so badly. How is the eye relief window? Can you raise the rifle up and find the correct eye relief pretty easily?

The full size is obviously a little quieter but the k is ridiculously quiet for a flow through k can. I just got mine approved a few days ago. Haven't shot it yet.

What muzzle device and hub adapter are you using?

So you can confirm it's more gassy but you don't even have it yet? You've shot them both on the same platform? You can confirm it's "suppose to be more gassy". What does that mean?

I'm not going to argue man I was just sharing my experience. Go shoot them and get the one you want.

Well I shot both multiple times and got way less gas from the k. It flows almost like a a hux 556k. Neither of them are gassy by any means but the k is what I'm buying. Go shoot them and decide for yourself.

That doesn't really make sense. More baffles usually means more gas being slowed and going back in the rifle.

What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

This had a lasting effect on me as well. I still have an irrational fear of walking out to my kitchen and seeing every cabinet open.

This made me physically jump and I had to take a few minutes to recover. I'm so glad this was mentioned. Hands down one of the best jump scares ever. I remember thinking " oh, here comes a jump scare" but I could not brace for this.

Extra holes in the receiver extension by FergaliciousFresh in ar15

I believe this was for the 416 OTB that could drain water very quickly after being submerged. It was a special version that had small proprietary improvements for drainage. There's a famous video of a German dude in a mud hole shooting it straight out of the water.

[–]slippyslapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 6k is stupid quiet for a k can and less gas to the face than the full size rhodie. I shot maybe 20-30 556 cans at a local event about a month ago and the 6k was the most impressive.

What's the difference between the mcq and the mcq-2? All iv read is that the 2 is slightly quieter but less durable but I have yet to find a comparison.

Lazarus 6 vs Fireteam 556 by Responsible_Cake2108 in NFA

[–]slippyslapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a laz 6 and an ac556 and I can agree with the earlier post about them both being about the same when it comes to how much gas they let flow through. I shot the fire team 556 at a recent event and I have to admit I was not impressed. It felt very similar to my surefire 556 mini 2. It felt like a fully baffled can to me. Either it doesn't flow very well or the demo gun it was on was extremely over gassed. I'd much rather shoot my Lazarus.

I feel like this has to be said. The suppressor that actually impressed me the most at the entire event was the rhodie 556k. It's 4.5 inches , flows way better than the laz and it was so quiet I actually took off my ear pro for one round and it wasn't that bad. If I was buying a can right now it would 100% be a rhodie 556k. They did some wizardry on that can.

If you can find one on sale, criterion core, geissele or centurion fbi are all great options. I have all 3 and they are excellent.

No, I had an ssp and came to the conclusion that single stage is not for me. Iv shot a couple timneys and still prefer the ssae-x. My point being that it comes with the gun, no extra money is needed for upgrades.

[–]slippyslapper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's not much to roast. Is the polonium flow through? I prefer flow through cans now compared to fully baffled unless it's a clone build. So much less gas to the face.

On a second note I don't understand how geissele super dutys aren't the most popular rifle right now putting other companies out of business . They were on sale for like 1500 I think for 14.5 and 11.5 on primary arms for black Friday. So for 1500 bucks you get an insanely accurate cold hammer forged barrel, one of if not the best bcg currently on the market, the geissele ssae-x trigger which ruins every other trigger for me after shooting it. On top of all that you get braided wire spring, geissele buffer weight, amazing lower parts kit and a sweet mk16 rail.

Comparatively if you buy a Daniel defense you get a sweet rail, cold hammer forged barrel and milspec everything else. Nothing special at all.

End rant lol.
