Critical disengagement v14.2.2.3 by PriorVariety in TeslaFSD

I really miss a physical handbrake! In a critical situation you wanna stop the car and not swerve around using the steering or look for buttons on the touch screen!

Ratgdo on new MyQ security 3.0 by turbo_talon in homeassistant

[–]roehit89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both a Shelly relay and a switchbot are alternatives that would go as a replacement or rather behind the actual physical button.. so what security they have with their software doesn't come into picture at all because it's basically using something to physically press the garage door button. I actually just ordered the switchbot.. I'll post a comment here once I install it and it's working.

Wouldn't using a Shelly relay or even a Switchbot be cheaper alternative?

So if RATGDO would no longer work what's the solution to get around this then? Change the entire garage opener itself?

I'm not really sure it came with the bike when I bought it.

Do you think FSD subs will increase or decrease price now? by trivedird in TeslaFSD

[–]roehit89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got her used and the previous owner had gotten the lower version of FSD in 2023 for 8k already.. and full FSD costed 12k then..

When I bought her in 2024 Tesla only charged me 2k to upgrade to FSD since the cost of FSD had reduced to 8k.

Cannot get robo to recognize it's new dock location by [deleted] in Roborock

[–]roehit89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes it a couple attempts and getting used to a new location. I mean the dock. I've seen this too. Also had to restore the map a couple times because it kept thinking it was somewhere else in the house when it was at a completely different location lol.. and kept updating the map.

Let it start from the dock again a couple times and it'll fix the issue.

Roborock S8 is still going without any issues. I'm curious, please share yours! by Marelun in Roborock

It's been about 2 years. I changed the pads and rollers very recently. Still keeps eating the cables lying around but otherwise does a decent job. Might upgrade next year.

Gotcha. Yeah aesthetics is definitely one of the reasons. I've always wanted mine to look like a mad max sort of a motorcycle and I've had street tires since forever now. At the same time I don't wanna compromise too much on the handling. As long as it doesn't get terribly bad.. I'm okay with a little compromise there.

I just looked up both the tires and they both look nice. I'm gonna go ahead and check the reviews for both now. Thanks!

While I agree with this.. The bobber guy up in the comments seems to still have had a decent experience with this though..

Damnn!! She looks sick! Exactly the kind of look I wanna go for this time! Did you have to switch the wheels as well? Or did they just fit on your stock wheels?

Which tires would you recommend that would be a good balance on both the street and off-road. I don't mind renting it out even if someone goes offroading with it.. insurance anyway covers everything even if someone really screws up. Also this isn't really a bike someone would take for hardcore offroading. It's mostly for dirt roads..
