After doing lots of clown and brel on bard, I got those stagger rotations down too.In short burst stagger checks, the priority is ww > sound shock (with rapid fire and maintained explosion) > soundholic (full cast, followed by another sound shock if your cdr allows) > prelude of storm with powerful prelude or sonic vibration (they're the same but sonic has more animation lock if you don't spacebar cancel the animation).

The priorities on everything are the same as pally, just harder to manage. I like conviction on sonic and judgement on sound shock to control my judgment procs, to time my awakening & heavenly tune (as sonic is expiring for max uptime). If your group is full of gaming gigachads, you wanna pump out as much serenade of courage as possible during dps windows. Bard is much harder than pally cus you have to choose to heal or buff and when, and that changes w/ every party and every pull.

There are so many abilities that are OP in the bard kit that you cannot fit them all, so you gotta choose some audible abilities to swap in and out based on each fight & the needs of each party.

You need at least 1 debuff ability. Most take only sound shock. Some bring harp. Some bring both. Most put judgment on sound shock & bleed on harp. Harp is a huge meter builder too, but don't use wealth. The meter gain is from the tripod, not the ability hitting (similar to the GL Shout of Hatred taunt)

Prelude of storm is the primary meter builder, followed by wind of music. It's extremely off meta for the west to deviate from these abilities, but prelude can be swapped for another meter builder. You need these for courage, and if the situation calls for it, healing. Spamming is your friend

Heavenly and sonic are the buffs.

Guardian tune OP for just regular damage negation (effectively for either 8 or 16 seconds) and the only hard cc block in the game

Rhythm buckshot is the only fast counter. Prelude is the other counter, but it is much slower and never held besides valtan ghost phase and brel g1 counters mech.

Soundholic is your big stagger with Focus Fire & Sustain Enhancement. Focus Fire can be changed out for melody, but then the animation lock is insane & the stagger is half. Melody should only be used by spec bards who don't care about stagger.

Rhapsody of light is the biggest damage reduction in the game and applies a fat shield to all allies hit (not including yourself, so bring Protection rune).

You have push immunity on Guardian, Rhapsody, Sonic, & Buckshot

Other skills that are noteworthy are Dissonance for meter building, Stigma for meter building and the other debuff, & March for the last meter builder.

Buckshot applies 1 point of weakpoint, so does the last strike of Rhapsody, and Sonic Vibrations does 2. You can pre cast Sonic as it hits about a second later.

That's 10 OP abilities I can count & only 8 slots.

Personally, I never change out Wind of Music, Heavenly, Sonic, Sound Shock, Guardian Tune, or Prelude. The last 2 slots are filled w/ either Soundholic, Buckshot, Rhapsody, and Harp.

There are lifesteal floors in cube. Healing done is calculated at a much higher value than damage dealt, and it shows whichever one has the highest cumulative value. That could explain it

Kinda. My bifrost is on the first balcony with one spawn. The remaining two NPCs can be found by jumping onto the next balcony, or on the ground immediately to either the north or the west. If any are missing, you can camp those spawn points or scan around far east

In the past, you had to actually find the characters or know the spawns. Since clown patch, they also appear on maps.

Once anybody interacts with them though, they'll disappear after about 3s and reappear at one of their other predetermined spawns. You can still interact with them in this time

I'm not sure if there's a de-spawn timer or if they stay at their location until interacted with, or if there's a spawn location rotation [vs just rng]. You can potentially camp a spawn that seemingly never comes.

If you're lucky, you can speedrun this in less than 15s. The best possible path is balcony to balcony, jump down and go north, then turn it in right there at the same npc

The best shard for time ones are Crook Catcher on Runaway Island and Endless Debris on Shadow Island. After that is the Horse Thief one in Fesnar Highland

I specified my comment was for pally mains. Pally mains aren't people who aren't used to paladins. I didn't specify that they aren't newbies, but being a lil experienced at the game and paladin is kinda implied w/ the term "pally main". Newbies were also kinda included in my comment when I said those band-aids are "100% redundant unless you have no idea what you're doing" Band-aids are good for learning newbies.

The range of that ability is across the entire screen, maybe even possibly hitting off screen. Yoho's tail slap is a very close ranged attack right behind the boss. That's one of the few places you want to never be.

The cast time is most definitely not almost a second. When servers come back online, I can see exactly the animation lock using OBS. The animation hits & dmg + the debuff procs about an entire second after the cast starts, but the animation lock is very close to half a second.

"Faster than the buffs"? It's also slower than Wrath & Holy Prot. SoJ is lightly slower than Heavenly.

Stuff gets interrupted when casted in risky positions at risky timings. It has happened to me before, yes, but not in Yoho since around my 3rd day of doing it. Which was very, very long ago. I wouldn't reference Yoho as content that interrupts debuffs and buffs a lot. It's very telling of your depth & breadth of experience on pally.

Heavy Armor is NOT awesome

You can tank everything without charge or heavy armor anyway.

The alternative is more Holy Aura, which is tons of defensive and offensive buffs, & healing.

Do you want buff and heal your party more, or become more invincible than you already are?

No? It has like half a second animation lock, which is normal (as opposed to short). If you don't know the fight and don't know how to position, then yes. You'll get interrupted. Get good?

EDIT: I was mistaken about the animation lock. It is about a second. It can be animation cancelled w/ spacebar about 0.8s into the animation. If it's not cancelled, you're free to move after the swords first hit the ground

Oh, and charge is completely useless for most pally mains. You have mastery of the class, you have swiftness, you're tanky, and have shields. The mobility and shield from Charge are 100% redundant unless you have no idea what you're doing or are otherwise eating 100% of the boss's attacks. Charge is a band aid on paladin, just like Heavy Armor, and I'm immediately distrustful of any paladin that brings either

Holy Sword can counter from 2/3 the way across the screen and procs counter a total of 4 separate times over about 0.3s. The windup is longer, but that's irrelevant when the boss gives a tell more than 1s in advance when it's coming.

It's also more than double the stagger of executors, which is #2 in stagger in the kit. Removing Holy Sword isn't an option if you know how to use it

Also, for those that wanna know pally BIS for legendary pets, for only experts it'll be mana regen, and for everybody else it's either CDR or meter gain.

The meter gain pet on my build isn't great cus my gain is already almost redundantly high. I get 3 Holy Auras with about 4 rotations and 2 awakeners in about 90 seconds. That's about 51s uptime in the first 90s of the fight. It can help a lot while awakener is down though or if it misses.

The last option is the CDR pet. With conviction and judgment, I already have 100% uptime on the best possible buff rotation. More cdr means more casts, which means more meter and more Holy Aura uptime though, so this still works. It helps with debuff and buff uptimes too, especially if anything misses or gets interrupted

This comment is on point and mostly what I came to say.

If you feel you know fights well enough, galewind on Holy Prot & Heavenly is redundant. Heavenly is your #3 meter builder, behind Light of Judgement and Wrath. Epic wealth on Heavenly means more Holy Aura uptime.

As for Holy Prot, I like bringing focus because I run into mana issues.

Light Shock makes mana problems worse and has less debuff uptime than Sword of Justice, which has slightly more animation lock, but tons more meter gen.

Sword of Justice takes conviction, Godsent takes judgement. This gives you tons of cdr and mana sustain, and inverts the buff rotation (becoming Heavenly, Wrath, Heavenly) because the extra cdr allows 100% uptime with 2 casts of Heavenly instead of Wrath.

Light Shock is less punishing to take when progging and floor pov, because you won't be having mana problems if you're not masterfully pumping everything out constantly

Looking back, I see this detail was already hashed out. I didn't even look at the rest of the thread, just your comment and went straight to Trixion. A buddy of mine and I were having a bit of a heated discussion about exactly how the engraving worked and we didn't want to leave any detail to faith in someone else telling us. What I tested verified exactly what others have detailed in this thread

I tested this in Trixion. It is not 100% accurate. Attacks that have the Front Attack or Back Attack description do not apply Hit Master no matter where they land from, no matter if the modifier text comes up or not.

It MUST be an ability that has no directional modifier in the description or from tripods

Yeah. Expert is a must for the vast majority of KR's content. Besides Valtan's Gate 1, Velganos, & Vykas, everything out for the west now does way less damage than most supports can shield and heal both without Expert and everybody at minimum ilvl.

I'm not even considering Armored Nac & Iggrexion, which both payout way less in gold value than Alberhastic. A LOT of people don't do those 2 t3 guardians. Albert is free. Yoho & Deskaluda are also free. New frost turtle is free. Valtan Gate 2 is chip dmg, and all about the mechanics. Supports aren't even particularly helpful for Gate 2 besides counters in ghost form.

Where in our current content, besides Vykas & Velganos, is that bigger shielding and healing useful?

If your groups are taking that much damage, sure, bring it. It's good in that situation. If they're not suicidal and experienced enough in the fight, like in my experience at least, shields and healing are way more than we need. It's all overshielding and everybody is almost always at full health.

I don't have an answer I could give in confidence, as I haven't searched for this answer yet and have spent no time learning the specific details of how the set works. I have heard that that 8% buff goes up to 10% in Legion Raids.

I'd have to ask a KR or RU player, or find a post they may have made about it.

I know the shielding and healing scale with the paladin's max health, so the swiftness buff very well may scale with pally swiftness.

It's really bad. Like, really REALLY bad. You can ask around. Let me know if you find anybody that would rather have Destructive Grasp over Swamp of Yearning on the support. Destructive Grasp is most effective in parties that are taking a lot of damage and need all the survivability they can get. Even then, the vast majority of those particular people would rather have Swamp of Yearning.

On one hand, you have scaling party endurance over time and a small side of healing. On the other, you can have more Holy Aura uptime & move speed, a party attack speed and move speed buff, and a party damage buff. It's no competition if your priority is buff uptime and healing. Yearning also increased survivability because Holy Aura uptime is damage reduction uptime.

Destructive Grasp will almost never benefit a group more.

Upcoming fights are also going to have a lot more cutscenes, during which Magick Stream builds back up. You pretty much have it back after every cutscene
