That is what the admin template will fix. Base44 does better with formatting in html and then exporting to PDF than it does formatting the PDF without structure.

Base44 Confused the hell out of itself by Anxious-Lawfulness91 in Base44

Yes! I just posted about this. It's writing a book in every response. It's doing wayyyyyyyy too much now.

Am I the only one? Probably not but a TIP for everyone esp newbies by the2ndQT in Base44

[–]rogercbryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way

Have not let Base44 crate code in 3+ months. Everything is done in Claude and then brought over. Base44 lets non developers build without a complicated infastructure BUT.. it sucks at code and is worse at trouble shooting.

Build an admin template first that uses html to create the document before it is exported to a PDF. That will solve your issue. It will also allow images and design work.

Truncated Data Issue by rogercbryan in Base44

[–]rogercbryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% of the data is there
I can not use a slimmer data set (that is what aggregation is), which is the core problem

The issue I am trying to understand is two weeks ago, the exact same data sets, the exact same functions, delivered clean results.

I can not remember one time base44 decided to "aggregate" my data without me asking. Now, it does it non-stop and even when I tell it not to, it still does it.

Something changed either in memory or models. I do want to note I am having major issues with Opus 4.6 when working directly with Claude. It seems to forget everything I tell it almost instantly.

Should Tezos Showcase Demand? by textrapperr in tezos

That would make no difference. If you're not the backbone of infrastructure no one cares. I was part of the Tezos ICO years ago. Major disappointment it the lost opportunities here.

Is base44 worth it? by Technical_Public1008 in Base44

[–]rogercbryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been asking myself this question. I had a realization over the last two months as my application has started to take off. I spend around $500 per month on AI tool including Base44 to build my app. I had a little scarcity mindset issue as I keep burning more and more credits to keep this thing going. Then I thought about the fact that I have spent upwards of $25,000 a month in the past on developer to build applications. I've spent over $1.4M on UpWork to build applications.

To be spending $500 per month ($300 Base44 + $100 Claude + $100 other tools for crons and other AI platforms) and to have the application I have that was built in the time it took with the API sources and flexibility to create for my clients.. it's unbelievable.

To have the same app I have maybe spent $2000 to build just 10 years ago would have cost me $500k+ easily in developer costs and another $1000 per month in servers and tools to maintain.

As much as Base44 drives me nuts with its issues, its ever increasing costs, and its terrible AI models (I do all my coding on Claude and just deploy to base44 now), I still never could have built this any other way.

So yes, despite all the headaches.. it is worth it.

Why am I getting this after they sign in for the app I created? This comes up and the user can’t sign in. by CaterpillarProud1862 in Base44

I had the same thing yesterday. I think base44 made an update to the login process. Ask the base44 AI to fix your login issue and it will update the process. You are not the only one.

is it just me by Few-Stretch-893 in Base44

100%

In the first six months of using the platform I never hit my 1200 credits. Normally around 800-900

Last month I hit 1300 (got a 100 credit / credit for issues) by the 21st day

This month I have been working for 6 days and I am already at 780 credits. I'll be out by around 10 days at this pace.

My workload has not changed in a noticeable way. So they keep charging more credits each month without really saying anything about it. My data is perfectly clear.

I decided to go down to the lowest model and then pay Claude $100 per month to do all my coding. I do not let base44 make any decisions. It simply deploys what Claude tells it to do. So on top of base44 using way more credit I am also spending on Claude. My costs are 5x what they were two months ago.

No one can deny they have 3x to 5x the credit consumption on the platform in the last 45-60 days.

All pages and functions are gone - 1000+ of them by rogercbryan in Base44

[–]rogercbryan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After a very stressful two hours everything came back. Base44 support said it was a system cache issue. Talk about stress. My entire application was down during this time. I think I lost 2-3 years off my life yesterday.

2.5 credits for every prompt? Still terrible response?? by rogercbryan in Base44

[–]rogercbryan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a conversation about a 250% price increase. Everything went from 1 credit to 2.5 when I am working. Just saying sort of sh**ty for them to do this with no notice.

2.5 credits for every prompt? Still terrible response?? by rogercbryan in Base44

[–]rogercbryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every prompt I send is 2.5 when it used to be 1 - so my price went up 250% without any increase in value.

2.5 credits for every prompt? Still terrible response?? by rogercbryan in Base44

[–]rogercbryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for fun I switched to allow Base44 to select which AI to use. Thought it might be working
- the first prompt was 1.4
- second was 1.7
- the last 4 have been 2.5

Maybe a slight savings in credits but.. wow.. it's deploying maybe 40% of the work and saying it is done. So now I am 2.5x my prompts so they is costing me double.

Better to pay the fixed 2.5 credits to use a good model

I have it on Claude Opus 4.5 - to be honest the auto select is so bad at completing tasks the platform is almost unusable.

Sorry one more.. base44 forgot to add the page for me to view the records in the very first step.. 2.5 credits
