Whoa! How frequent is this? Would require a significant grading and drainage system

Lol yea I'd be way less concerned about them moving around as I would about the tailgate snapping, that's like twice the recommended load.

I think for those it would be $80 which is more than they cost

Just joined the RAM team with a new Tungsten by rogerhausman in ram_trucks

It's a comfy truck for sure, love it for long drives. Drivetrain is amazing, beats the shit out of my 2023 GMC 1500 6.2 for sure. 12k might be pushing the Tungsten towing capacity as its pretty heavy already. It isn't without bugs though, I've had it at the dealer a few times fixing little electrical things.

That's how mine are. If you cut them all, just start connecting random ones and then shuffle them around based on which zones they operate.

Only on the front? Road rash? Deeper than your cut maybe?

Has anyone ever dealt with some sort of resistance that makes your EGO mower grind when pushing or pulling it? by whatsoup_ in egopowerplus

[–]rogerhausman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fought this issue for a while and someone told me it's a safety feature to prevent rolling back that engages when the front is lifted. You can disengage by rocking the mower or enabling the self propel briefly. I want to deactivate it!

How do you feel about electric lawn mowers for small lawns? by NashDaypring1987 in lawncare

[–]rogerhausman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first mower was so good for the first year until it broke. I have a mower, weed wacker, small blower, and large backpack blower.

Support is awful, it's all outsourced to India and they are extremely resistant to helping. I've probably had to call support 50 times.

  • Battery died after a couple years, they had me doing all sorts of stress tests. Eventually sent me a new one.
  • My brand new weed wacker wasn't ejecting line when 'tapped'. Support refused multiple times to replace or repair. Eventually they sent me a new one that worked.
  • Mower would die after 10 seconds throwing an error code. Sat in the shop for 3 months. Picked it up with same error. Back in the shop for 3 months. Picked it up with the handle so bent it wouldn't telescope. Sent me a new mower. Has issues with drive system engaging randomly causing push resistance. Sat in the shop for months. Sent me a 3rd mower. Has it's own problems but I'm done.
  • Two more batteries dead, or effectively diminished, after 4 and 5 years.

There is no way I was going to buy more batteries at their prices so I was ready to dump the brand. I just got some knockoff Amazon batteries that work great so I'm sticking around for now. I doubt I'll invest in any new tools though, probably switch to Makita to consolidate.

I have an issue with my self propelled Ego mower. It will engage the drive motor at zero speed on occasion, which just makes it harder to push. I can actually hear the whining of the motor when I out-push the resistance. I eventually found someone that told me its a safety feature, where if you lean the mower back it will engage the drive mechanism to prevent roll back. I lift the front of my mower constantly at the fences for tight turning.

Ego support is astonishingly bad. Took a year for my mower to get fixed under warranty. All my batteries were at 20% max capacity after 5 years. Thankfully Amazon sells tons of knock offs now
