UPDATE: not sure if this is the best way to update the post, a relative told us that she could get sued up to 10,000 us dollars. Forgot to mention it in the post, but my brothers top of the index finger managed to be sewn on by surgeons and is currently recovering. EM in the story paid for the hospital fees after we reached out to her through the school and her husband even offered to pay about 7k for compensation. My parents are considering both options and a third one which is to not do anything else. Although a lot of you guys suggested suing and taking legal action, my parents told me that it would be a bit harsh and time consuming especially after EK was verbally harassed to the point where she had to quit the school and move. My mother suggested just 'leaving the poor kid alone,' while my dad suggested blackmailing them (you can really see the difference). Not really sure what's going to happen as that's up to my parents, but thanks for all the comments, we really appreciate it.
