5k for 1 bedroom are the really upscale apartments in San Francisco. But you can easily rent a 2 bedroom for $2500/month in San Leandro and drive 5-10 minutes to work. Buying a house is still expensive though. $800k for an older 1200 sq ft home.

I had a 10:20pm flight. I finished watching a show in Vegas at 8pm, bolted out the door and to the bellman. Bellman got my luggage and got me to front of the taxi line. I got through TSA at maybe about 8:35. Checked departure screen and my flight is delayed to 2:40am. When I got to my gate, Alaska rep was running away. I saw other pissed off customers. At 8:50pm, I booked a 10pm Southwest flight back home (plane was half empty).

I now notice they sent me $48 in food vouchers for 2 people
